Now compare them to the king of clean a twin reverb! 😂
I don't have it
@ understandable amps aren’t cheap, i feel we’re all like Pokémon trainers trying to capture all the amps 😂 you got some nice ones too lol👍
Gonna go Vox on this one
I agree
Come fai a rimediare col prossimo refret? Il radius rimarrà sempre 7,25. Io forse se dovessi scegliere prenderei PU al ponte dell'original, un pò più caldo, e PU al manico della AMV2, più aperto
Astonishingly, Brunetti amps are still a bit of a sleeper. I do have the Singleman H (50W head, otherwise same amp, and use it with a 1x12 Celestion Alnico Cream) - it is the second-cheapest amp I own and easily the best pedal platform. Slightly better than my Amplified Nation Dirty Wonderland, clearly better than my Two Rock Traditional Clean, and basically as good as my Fuchs Clean Machine, my other favorite. (Yes, I know I have a massive single channel clean amp problem.)
Alnico Cream is a great speaker, I've never tried it unfortunately. Better than Two Rock? Wow, I'm glad! I always found the Singleman kinda similar to two rock, Fendery clean with celestion speakers, ins't it?
I liked the Brunetti. Is it a 15w or 30w version?
15w! A lot louder than 20w Marshall
@@CottonFIN Sorry it's always me! Yes 15w against 20w Marshall. Same speaker: celestion creamback g12m
Super helpful. Mine definitely needs a tweak to make it more transparent
@@josephpickard3108 yes, unfortunately I found there isn't a sweet spot with trasparent tone. Just a different mid freq peak!
@ThePedalsComparison the best Univibe I've ever heard is the KL Mega Vibe. Philip Sayce uses one
Brunetti for sure
Brilliant video, lovely playing, this is the perfect video for me as I am looking to buy a BB type pedal, best regards from Dublin, I thought the Mooer was quite good and not expensive
To me is basically the same as Snouse blackbox! Thank you very much! Please subscribe for other videos like this one
I’m curious to find out if you went in and had it set up to match the action of the original 60s. And I would sound it after the strings on the new one aged a bit.
i put new strings on my original before this comparison, and the action was exactly the same fortunately
Brunetti sounds awesome, i wish there was a smaller version of that, is way too loud for my use and no way i can carry 20 kg around.
with the power limiter and the low input isn't too loud for home use! mine is around 15 kg. I put a creamback that is lighter than v3o speaker
Differences maybe are 6v6 VS 6l6 I have the Cornell with a 6v6 to make the sound more sweet
mine too has the 6v6. The differences are in the amps, not just in the valves. They are a completely different amps. Its normal that they sound so different
Vote for 57, it’s more warming that i’m love 🙂
i agree
Wow I just saw this video I loved it 😊. Thanks so much ❤. Question. Is the background hiss as loud as it seems on the video? The hiss should be much lower I think. Send me a message whenever you want. Maybe we need to check it out :)
Hey, yes unfortunately the hiss was that much, I don't know why
American Original pickups are wound with dark enamel coated wire which results in that "Warmth" . The 61s might be "Formvar" which is usually bright orangey colour and can sound harder/ brighter but through a VOX combo they should sound thicker..maybe the V 2 needs more volume? Both great though but if I I had to choose it would be the Sunburst Strat which sounds great at this end.
Really? Wow! That's mine! Now I still have that sunburst strat but I've putted the 61 pickups on it. It seems to sound great!
I like the Fulltone '69 better. 👍
really? I sold it to keep the Fuzz Phrase!
Ciao dude! I tried myself multiple batteries and found that the best one is the green GP carbon zinc that....guess what....comes stock if you buy a new Boss SD1....duh...always trust the Japan ppl when it comes to milking the last % of sound quality. However in US they are expensive, in EU they are cheap, under 1 euro. 2nd best if you live in US is the Danelectro vintage power source battery. Every other battery does not make a big diff, that's why most ppl say they cannot hear anything.
The Greenback has more sparkling in the high tones…
While the Jensen is softer but less defined…
Thanks for the very nice comparison! I would say quite a big part of the basic tone difference is due to different speakers. But as you demonstrated the Brunetti is a super flexible amp to dial in the classic DR tone and beyond. I have a similar Singleman and I found the american voiced WGS G12C gives me the best sound I need for this amp. But as I love Creambacks, I also have a 2x12 semi open back cabinet with another WGS C12G and a Creamback and the speakers really compliment each other. Love to use this amp for jams and band practise in both combo and 2x12 forms. Loves fuzz pedals when slightly overdriven. Been considering the Singleman 50 head aswell, would be great to have this sound in a bigger headroom version if needed. Gotta give props to Brunetti for making this amp and it's variations. It's a very nice and versatile package for those BF/Tweedish F-style sounds, both the cleans and the overdriven tones are gorgeous - it really growls if needed and you can dial those juicy mids loud if U like that kinda thing. My only gripe is I wish the reverb was even bigger sounding and drippy when wound up for the more surfy stuff and Morricone landscapes. I quite often use the Brunetti with a Surfybear reverb unit and they work together very well. :)
Jensens... every fking time
Tru-Fi Colordriver for me. You cannot go wrong with either though tbh
Thanks!
I love the Brunetti more. I have a Fender Bassbreaker 30r, I love the drive channel but I'm not happy with the clean channel, it says Fender but it is not Fender enough. Maybe I'll just get one of these Brunettis 16 and enjoy it with my Tele
You play great. Each sound you generate is your own ones. I mean you play in your originality sound. With any pedal you play with you own sound (slightly being made up with each pedal flavor). Very nice. I would like to be like you.
The 60s is just so much fucking better
For this musical excerpt from Lenny, my favorite is the Jensen C12K; comes standard in the Twin Reverb reissue and Deluxe Reverb reissue. It’s a heavy 100 watt speaker.
I’ve got both. The V2 is the better IMO. Fender don’t go back the way. It’s an improvement no matter what other channels say. 2:42
Nice video, to the point.
Excelent Comparison
Thank you! Glad you like it! What speaker do you prefer?
This is the exact video I was looking for. Thanks
Thank you very much! Do you have a Retrovibe too? Amazing pedal!
Man... Have a Cigar... I like the Tone Bender and Colordriver
I agree, absolutely!!!
Where do I get this Brunetti in the US or anywhere?
Good question! I don't know... Try to write directly to Brunetti and ask him!
What amp are you playing into?
A Cornell Romany plus 12! 5e3 style amp
At 7:53 what Pedal did. you turn on? Sounds fantastic.
Yes sir! I turned in the Foxrox Octron 3, with an octave up and an octave down. And I had always on my bogner blue as a light overdrive and a slapback delay
Which amp is being used.
Cornell Romany 12, a tweed deluxe style amp
The best speaker is the one you like the sound of. It's a ridiculous question.
Yes, I mean the same that you mean! It's ridiculous your agry comment!
@@ThePedalsComparison not angry at all. The title of the video is "Which is the Best Speaker?" That question probably cannot be answered objectively. Maybe it could be called "Which is your favorite speaker", or "Speaker Comparison" or something like that.
Nice review, which amp you were using?
A Marshall jtm studio combo 20watts! An incredible amp!!!
Prefer the sparkle of the American vintage 2 Good playing 👍
Thank you man, maybe me too. I bought the 61 pickups now to put them on my original 60
I have just bought the American vintage 2 sunburst, the original 60 is good also just more darker sounding, I love neck on the American vintage 2 unfortunately the case is cheaper not g and g leather like it use to be, now it’s Chinese junk varnish on the rosewood, I think they hired some newbees during the pandemic to meet the demand it’s a shame the American original was better setups and value with the G andG case
очень круто !
Thank u
The Vintage II has dot markers that look more vintage, both have a thick slab of rosewood. The radius has always been7.25 and tall thin wire. Have an AVRI from 93, once re fretted to 9.5 and some jumbo frets can compete with any guitar ever owned. Have an Eric Johnson thin line in blonde with a 12" radius and it is quite great. Depends on how vintage you want. If the vintage Strat you want and can re-fret the guitar because the frets are super thin and your lower chords will not only dent them but cause issues later on.
The original has the 9.5 radius and it doesn't have a slapboard neck. Just a thiny sheet of rosewood
@@ThePedalsComparison right on, have only my 93' AVRI for memory, knew the newer ones had clay dots, my AVRI does not. 57, 62 pickups and originally 7.25 radius with tiny frets.
Have a five Strats, an Eric Johnson Thin Line, a Classic 60's Player (great) and Yngwie Malmsteen model , 2013 American Special Mint green the AVRI Fiesta Red
Need a Tele
@@ChrisHariis me too
The American original has the 65' specs, the Vintage II has the 61' specs.
Very nice playing. Understand it being a difficult choice. So what did you end up deciding?
I prefer avii for clean tones and original for more raw rock tones! For the moment I keep my original! What do you think?
I like both. It sounds like you’d prefer something in between sound-wise? Which one feels best to play for you? And do you like the vintage features such as frets and radius?
First one - the greenback
Really??
Yes, definitely and the V30 comes in at 2nd
Action is too low on the AVRI. That's because it's not well set up to the 7.5 radius. That's why it seems thin and very (too much) spanky. Get the action higher, and the pick up hight. You'll gain clarity, sustain, note definition and bass response. Vintage style radius needs
Is not so much more low than the original. In the part 2 I tried with another avri much more high but the difference stills there.
The fulltone sounds better to me. More clarity.
But if you watch the whole video carefully I explain when the fuzz phrase could be clearer. If you turn up the volume just a little bit it became brighter than the fulltone
AVII sounds much better to me! Much closer to Hendrix as well.
I think for hendrix it will be better the original. For knopfler and mayer is better the 61
the Roland JC
Ehm, no I prefer these amps by far!!!
Brunetti much more mid forward wathever the settings. Much more ear fatigue, but cuts better thru a band. Choice has to be made Suprised, I prefer the Fender because of the ear fatigue that the Brunetti leads to
AVii sound vintage than Ori, both are amazing.!!
Yeah I agree!!!
@@ThePedalsComparisonjust change the pickups on your original and you’re good to go.
Video molto utile! Ho visto che hai provato differenti speakers con il Singleman... Qual'è il tuo preferito ad oggi ? Stavo valutando il jensen blackbird 100, il neo creamback e il jensen c12k. Grazie
Grazie!
Kinda like all 3 lol
Yeah, me too!
Nice, thanks
Thank you! What do you think about it?
