SPOTLIGHT: Susan Russell, KLB Executive Director
Susan Russell has been the Executive Director of Keep Louisiana Beautiful since 2014. Before leading the state office, she spent eight years as a local affiliate director for Keep Mandeville Beautiful.
Her experience in non-profit management, strategic development, program development and implementation, grant administration, event planning, communications, and marketing spans over 33 years. In addition to her work in litter prevention, she served in leadership roles at Special Olympics and Volunteers of America.

LaDOTD picked up an incredible 152,475 pounds of litter at more than 10 different cleanups along Louisiana roadways. This is the largest Love the Boot effort, with LDOTD removing more litter than any other group.

Love the Boot Week will take place April 17-23, 2023! Be a part of Louisiana’s largest statewide litter removal and beautification effort, and help bring attention to our state’s litter problem. Last year, 8,476 volunteers removed 293 tons of litter at 280 events in 54 parishes. Let’s work together to grow our impact in 2023 and Let Louisiana Shine.
