Or just ask any taxi on the street, "How much for go there, wait for you for one or two hours there and come back?" The temple is far from Bangkok city. I think less than 1,000 baht is reasonable.

I was checking some of the websites and some of them like Wat Phra That Doi Suthep say “closed on holiday” but i have no idea if the flower festival would count as a holiday or not. Also, there is a Saturday night market in the south of the old city and a Sunday night market in the old city every week, providing lots of street food and handmade things.
