Yall are a hoot linseed oil is a super hard water proofing finish as long as you give it plenty of time to dry. And apply it in thin coats what people don't get it's very important to put finish on the back side and edges of every board if you dont want it to cup or warp how do I know I restored Antiques and pianos for over 45 years whichever side you don't have finish on it will cup up toward that side.
