Just found and subscribed. My first episode was comparison A1, A7RIV and A7Siii. Good flow. Just moved from Chicago to Japan so I have a new world to shoot. I am in the process of deciding on replacing one of my 2 cameras??? A7iii or A7iii. Thinking about A7iv or A7RIV or even A9ii? It’s difficult deciding? I’m set on glass… A1 only in my dreams. Keep plugging away gents!

Julian I am really impressed by your work the angles the contrast and the editing look amazing in this video and in your others videos as well. i have a few questions if you have time. If you don't know about some of these devices no problem . you just seem like the type that would . you seem like an expert so I'd like to ask your advice. 1. IS a Cannon EOS R5 a good camera for both still photography and video . I live in Medellin Colombia i plan on doing outdoor night time video with people downtown. I also want to grab nature footage we have many mountains and Waterfalls. 2. Is a Black Magic 6k camera good for video in both night life and daytime nature ? 3. Should i just get a Sony? 4. If you could only afford one type of Lens, which kind do you think i should go for for these types of filming i'm interested in doing?

It is pointless to do such test via video on youtube even if it is a 4K video. To see the difference right away without zooming to 100% crop you’ll need an 8K monitor at least.

Wow thats nice, you described it very honestly, each camera has own importance. It find is easy to choose which camera for which platform. Obviously A1 has much more costly than a7riv and a7siii but there are also compulsions, so if we small budget then might be finding difficulties to choose one of them.anyway I have A7riv

The video is beautiful! We tried spinning several times and did not enjoy the pain it caused "certain areas" of our bodies at all 😂 😩 The studio will be very happy with this video, though, we're sure!

Nice idea for the video! There would be nice to add also 24MPix camera to have 12-24-50-61 ;-) I wonder if F11 was the best choice for 35mm GM. Some people say that at F11, the diffraction kicks in on Sony a7r IV so the image looks softer. That could be the reason that A7r4 looks a little bit softer comparing to A1 (example source: Diffraction Calculator | PhotoPills) Overall agree with you conclusions: you need more pixels if you need to crop heavily or when you need to make large prints (for close view distances).

I like a7S3, because it has high ISO less noise. This is most important for this model.

I love my A1 too! You guys didn’t mention the EVF which is pretty epic :) Screen’s old school but hey, we look at the pictures on high resolution monitors in the end! Still on the fence about keeping my other body, but it could be fun to have 24-70 on one and 70-180 on another. Thanks for the video.
