@@YourSirJay ito po kasi title ng laguage research namin. Working title pa po yan kaso di ko alam mag identify ng Independent at dependent variable sa title namin o kaya pwede po ba consider na extraneous variable lang since parang non-expiremental naman yung research title namin "ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF ORAL SKILLS OF ENGLISH MAJOR FRESHMEN STUDENTS AT SOUTHERN DE ORO PHILIPPINES COLLEGE IN THE NEW NORMAL"
Pure descriptive po ang study ninyo. Kaya wala pong IV and DV.

Question lang po sir. at 1:13, "confounding variables are extraneous variables that ARE RELATED TO A STUDY's I.V." However, water, soil, pests, sunlight were considered in 3:19-3:32 as confounding variables after they took effect in the process. While they did affected (according to the example) 'di sila necessarily related sa fertilizer which is the I.V. In this case, while accepted as part of the E.V. ang C.V., does a C.V. really has to be related sa I.V.? Everything is well explained po and the presentation overall is also excellent. More power po to this channel :)
Hi! Thank you for your comment. About your question, sunlight, water, and soil are related to the IV. I just added pests as other potential EV.
@@YourSirJay clarification lang po. The way I understand "related to the IV" is may exclusive property (perhaps a chemical or the method of spraying or administering) si fertilizer/growth enhancer that affected the growth of the plants (mediation variable). That way, while growth enhancer is a the I.V. "something related kay I.V." affected the result of the experiment. I hope I explained my confusion sir. I agree po na E.V. rin yung ibang nabanggit tulad ng sunlight, water, soil, and pest. My reservation po however is on the technicality nung word na C.V. as "extraneous variables that ARE RELATED TO A STUDY's I.V." It seems po kasi that they may act "as if an I.V." but not exactly related (again on my understanding sa salitang related na "exclusively ay sa I.V.") sa intended I.V. which is the growth enhancer. Salamat po sa pagsagot and nawa maging mas malinaw pa para sa akin itong topic na ito :)

Hi! Thanks for watching!
A placement assessment may determine whether a student is qualified to take a higher level or advanced course/subject. For example, is the English placement test in a college entrance exam. If a student got low or failing scores on language skills, particularly grammar and usage, he is not yet qualified to take the English 1 subject. Instead, he will be "placed" in an English Plus class to match his current skill set and knowledge. His placement in the said class would help him to develop the skills necessary for higher English subjects.
