    Wow one of the best talks on this subject for me I've ever heard. Thank you so much . I am 60 years old and continue to search out help and wisdom to get through my life and issues from my childhood. I lost my dad when I was 13 on christmas eve after a year battle with Lung cancer . My mother who had little ability to help myself and my siblings thru such a difficult time wounded all four of us more than we realize I now know. I am very grateful for people like you. I will be taking all your advice and again thank you. ❤

      There are many, and I meant to say resiliency factors. A few are confidence, communicating our needs, accepting change.

      I do agree that being giving is a wonderful way to live. It becomes unhealthy when we are giving but angry or resentful for how we gave, or giving and upset at the person we helped because they are not giving back. True giving, and doing good deeds are unconditional.

    This lady is 100% wrong. This lady dumped a guy who was broke and then he became super rich. Then he went "na na nanaa na". And she's all butt hurt about it and is trying to talk shit. A lot of women do this when they realize they lost a good man that is a provider.

    I hear deeply all the ways that i can grow from this disaster that im sitting in i just dont know how to move past all the consequences that are so overwhelming due to this breach of our relationship. 10 years together ... Very cpmpadible, sexually and inter personally, we were best friends first and it was a huge mistake followed by terrible decisions one after the next. I feel tho that this time sorry and forgiveness cant solve or rectify due to the permanent changes he created. He now has a new baby that hes starting over the parenting phase of life again when our kids are graduating high school next year. Back to visitations and child support being taken out of his paychecks monthly again. I guess selfishly i have to ask how much is expected from me in this situation that i didnt get consulted about infact wasnt even informed that my life would be changing drastically until her 3rd trimester. I new something was going on but never could have imagined that he could destroy our lives and not even tell me. I dont feel he is entitled to my atonomy.

    • @Susan-fg3nv

      This time? He has a history of cheating? Do you want to remain married? HE has a baby not you. You get to live the life of a woman who raised her kids. Kind of like a reflection and maturity if he took a second wife. It's his wife not yours. When he is with you then you and he get to be husband and wife. When he is with her and her kid he does his thing and you do yours. IF you choose to stay the baby is innocent. You may even enjoy seeing similarities of your children in the little one. I did. It was like seeing my boys as Littles all over again. You can even pursue a career and hobby. Prepare for a better future. Good luck. It's so common It's not even a issue once you heal and see he made this choice but he is still the man you love. Be his friend, lover, wife. Let her be her. She is not you. Or leave

    So, she picked the wrong guy first or are you saying she could have worked it out if she tried harder?

    • @soulspeakwithmeg
      @soulspeakwithmeg 4 месяца назад

      My belief is that if two people really commit and love each other enough, yes things can work out. It takes effort to change the unhealthy patterns that have been created. Both people in the partnership would need to commit to the new possibilities, not just one of the two.

    Interesting way of saying that you are partly to blame for getting cheated on

    • @soulspeakwithmeg
      @soulspeakwithmeg 4 месяца назад

      What goes on in a relationship is the interplay between the couple, and the boundaries that have been set. That is always two-sided. I would not say one is to blame for being cheated on however, it is the dynamics in the relationship that both parties have responsibility for and how they have grown together or apart.

    People cheat because there’s an underlying problem within the relationship. Brodem/ stale sex between husband & wife. It’s like eating the cereal everyday…. Wives make excuses not to be intimate with the husband anymore.

      Nagging is such a terrible way to communicate with anyone, daughter or not. You’re basically saying to them, “I don’t trust you to do xyz” or “you’re incapable of doing so without my help” which is super frustrating and invalidating.
