It's just about impossible to sympathize with neo-Nazis, but G.I. Robot is genuinely quite dangerous despite his many sympathetic qualities. The scene where he was scanning the 1950s TV audience and looking for Nazis and accusing the show emcee of being a possible Nazi indicate that. In peacetime, he's basically like a robotic Judge Dredd, i.e., judge, jury, and executioner, with no one to stop him. And his judgment isn't infallible, but, even if it were, that doesn't give him the right to kill people on sight for ideological reasons alone when they aren't directly harming anyone else. Again, it's easy to go "Yeah, they were neo-Nazis!" but it's also not difficult to understand law enforcement reacting to his actions as they did. Under U.S. law, he really did murder a roomful of people. Well, if he's considered as a human being under the law, he did. Otherwise, he's like a dangerous weapon that needs to be reprogrammed or deactivated.

Putting a robot on trial after it did a massacre on some civilians when said robot was showed a Nazi flag (said robot unleashing carnage whenever he sees smth related to Nazis) is the equivalent of putting down a predator after putting it in a room full of prey (and thinking that it wouldn’t try to kill said prey)

Two problems with this video 1) The Matrix is not seen until Prime’s death scene and 2) and this is most important Galvatron steals the Matrix from ULTRAMAGNUS and at no time does he ever in any way get any power from it. In fact just like UM he can’t open it. Hot Rod rips it off the chain Galvatron has it on and opens it where we hear Optimus say “Arise Rodumus Pime” which after defeating Galvatron he uses to destroy Unicron. This film from 1986 is the first appearance or mention of the Matrix of Leadership and it literally fulfills its purpose at the end of the film. But the morons writing the show decided to make it a recurring plot point and transformation device.
