Bandai 1\\72 BTL S3 Y-Wing Bomber
My incomplete 1/72 scale Bandai BTL S3 Y-Wing model with 3 SMLEDs in the cockpit lighting up the instrument panels at the front and sides . 2 orange LEDs for the engines ( I will get them flickering soon ) . It also has a sound board with engine sound effects on 1 channel and some dialogue from the movie " A New Hope " . All of this is powered by electricity from the mains , not from batteries .

A 1\\24 scale VW Kombi I repainted Pink for a friend .

It was originally red but my friend likes pink so I sprayed it pink for her . The interior was very bland ( all white including the floor ) so I painted pink inserts with a black floor , a pink and white steering wheel ( originally black ) . I also sprayed the dash pink and put a speedo and radio on it . It was also missing a gear shift so I scratched one with a whit knob . The rear parcel tray...

Thankyou Darren! This event was the birth of the VK in Group C and it showed allcomers the quality of the genius of Perkins and Brock and it set the stage for what would unfold soon after ar Bathurst. Great stuff.
I think there is a mistake in the title of the video, I think Lakeside was Round 6 and Round 7 was at Adelaide International Raceway.

This race was run on 26 July 1981 (the ATCC had concluded at Lakeside over a month earlier). It was the opening round of the 1981 Australian Endurance Championship. Was good to see the HDT running 1-2 for a while with Harves actually leading Brock. And how ironic that Larry Perkins was in 3rd at the time.
Not ATCC round, it is AEC round.....
Top stuff mate. The Commodore vs Camaro vs XD Falcon were something else. They were really tough. They were the days.....

I have the 1981 ATCC @ Adelaide(Round 1 )and a shortened version of 1983 Oran Park Enduro.

If you love Group C then make sure you go to The Muscle Car Masters at Eastern creek every fathers day as they display heaps of them.
