I've been comparing clips of Paul's interviews with other artists in this little "promo series" in the last minutes, and I think this one immediately shows Annie Clark would easily be actually the better of most of them to actually collaborate with Paul, because their creative spirit is actually anywhere similar (not in a superficial way), like the other "modern rockers"(charlatans relative to mainstream artists genuinely interested in the avant garde like Paul and Annie authentically are in their own rights) that through the industry-complex ended up working on this remix album. This goes besides the point of what Mccartney III was and the remix album because to be frank neither were super touching for me, but I'm happy to see a conversation with one of these younger artists who seems to I think connect with the side of Paul's creativity that I greatly admire, and Annie's work as well. From an industry perspective, if Paul and his managers de-prioritize "being cool", and as much as they can go towards more artists who are actually really actively enthralled in their work like this, and like the work Paul's known for, their could be very effective collaborations and genuine growth in the mainstream of music. Notice how when Paul tells stories about writing this music, Annie genuinely responds and so does he to her, both with immense gratitude and appreciation of the great mystery of music. She asks him "if there's a story he wants to tell but hasn't quite cracked", very good, she's asking about forward motion. There is nothing formulaic about it.

I've never seen Annie so inhibited. Is it possible she is star-struck? IMO she is as brilliant and innovative a force in music/art today as Beatles were in their time. But they were the lovable mop--tops with catchy tunes, and Annie is a bit offbeat, female and queer so I guess no sold out shows at Shea Stadium or wax likeness at Madame Tussauds (thankfully).

She tries to look and act deep and spiritual being. With the weird turban and glasses. But to me she just seems a bit thick and shallow. Paul is very normal, grounded yet super interesting. Glad he escaped that boring chat.

Paul feels the need to work or talk to these new singer. But she won't be around in 5 years let alone the 60 years he's been the unequalled legend.

Paul's great, as ever. But my she's so flat, doesn't smile naturally, just a long pointy face, so serious. You'd think she'd be excited to have this unique chance to speak to a legend. But no enthusiasm, just this weird bore. When she talks of listening to his music, she's so fucking miserable. She thinks its cool to make up for her looks, but we know she's ugly. Staring blank eyes. I love how Paul's natural way of speaking is upbeat, musical, and nice to hear. Poor guy has to keep the conversation going, cos she's hard work. Never heard of her so this is no comment on that.

Paul+linda,John+Yoko destroyed the Beatles for their average solo career ,almost killed each other for money while sang "all we need is love" and now live under the Beatles legacy and Paul using John's image as appeal . Miserable.

LOVE it! This may sound like an odd, off the wall comment but it's interesting to hear Paul ASK someone else a question... I'm so used to hearing him always answer questions but not ask..like when he asks her what she is up to the rest of the day, I just thought that was so cool! As you can probably tell, it doesn't take much to please me in life. LOL!
