Just a place to share videos of things around the farm or local area.
We are a 130~ acre tree farm. Are uneek things involves are circular blade sawmill and older equipment used on the farm.
Like most farms, very little is outsourced.
We do just about anything repair or work wize.
In the last few years, I've added recycled vegetable oil from various fair grounds around the area for use on the farm, in the place of diesel.
The newest item on the place, used for work is made around 1997 and is a work in progress itself
Located in the Oregon coast range, expect most videos to involve water in one way or another. As 6 foot of rain per year is the average for the area. With the exception of fire season, for about 3 months a year we go bone dry.
Completely different from the East Coast, where rain at any point of the year is possible
One other fun fact is, we average 13 days a year with a high over 90F, so where a very cool climate
Mabe a few random things from travels around the country.

11 to 19.5gpm pump.
rated at 2.8gpm 3,000psi on 2nd stage.
mathematically, thats 4.9hp to generate the needed 2nd stage hyd force.
1st stage of 19.5gpm at 500psi is, 5.7hp.
2nd hyd filter, in parallel, will be 2 filters rated for 25gpm 10 micron each.
gage to accurately know psi.
possibly overclocking engine governor from 3,600rpm to no more then 4,400rpm. anything more requires removal of gov, so no steady rpms. unlike a go kart that operates thru the go pedal.
.
change from iso32 oil to atf synthetic fluid.
if needed, adding a liquid to liquid heat exchanger to cool oil. using water as the cooling liquid...

inverter generator muffler decable test, on 212cc HF straight valve, engine.
Просмотров 7814 часов назад
came up with this idea for showing the decable level, thought it worked out well. . replacement mufflers for inverter generators are becoming increasingly available. definitely a way of muting things down a bit. to make a work environment a little bit less loud.

tinker bell/B7100 front hub repair part 1 of 2
Просмотров 109День назад
parts axil was what originally was on tractor. spider gears blew up on it, but the outer hub reduction gears are still usable. im just swapping it over to the current axil, as the hub gears blew up on one side. it is a 40 plus year old b7100 kubota tractor. and even though its a major brand name. parts are definitely starting to get scarce. . the steering box has been are biggest failure point,...

Interesting! Hopefully it works👍👍
Very nice setup.
I have one but it's a gst it's been a great tractor! No problems at all! It's a 45 HP by the way.
@Dolehargaves Yes, Gross hp at flywheel is 45 Net at flywheel is 42, thus the 4,200 model. Net at pto 37ish . Thanks for watching!
Gilla dela prenumerera på programmet 😃
Nice👍
need straight 40 motor oil
Yep, gets a steady diet of it.
Handy little bucket.
they were way underpowerd
Nice load of wood on that trailer!
@@EverythingElliott a few will make lumber, the first load was the good lumber load. Thats the 2nd load. Probably make 2x4s mostly. Mabe some 1x somethings. . Need to come up with a value, as white oak is something we are not accustom to on the lower Columbia river. Eventually ill make a little video showing how the log rack works, with no logs on it.
Update. Road still fully closed. One month later.
I just went down there myself this evening and all that has changed is that there is a huge pile of gravel where you had been standing to make this video.
I went down there again last night and took a better look at things, the culvert is in and there is massive pile of rock on top of it, they have around eight feet to go to get to where the road level should be.
She's old , but getting it done ! 😜
Nice video 👍❤
Wow ...that is a beautiful structure right there!
And all we did is supply the beams. The amount of planning and work spans nearly 2 years to get it to that point. Sliding doors are planned for the middle 2 bays. . The hole floor structure and posts are pressure treated by a local company. that allows small scale sawmills, to get there products treated for customers.
nice people, nice machine
Looks like a mighty mite saw
Definitely similar. But a few key differences. Put one of each side by side, and the differences are very obvious.
Super cool, grandad had a Garrett 15 with log forks and bucket. Traded it in for a brand new 25 model in 1972.
The front end loader version of a 15? Supposedly only 200 or so where made. We have one as well, but needs some serious care to get running. . Also have a 15 diesel. Same ford 172ci engine, but has a injection pump stuck in the distributor hole lol. Burns half the fuel of the gas version.
Very cool! Looks like that yarder could go through anything!!👍💪
Yeah there very good small scale skidders. Being around 8,000lbs really gives it a major advantage over a tractor. In the new market. But you can still move it legal with a pickup truck. Only it requires a deck over trailer as it's close to the 102" legal limit for public roads with no permits. i had a small hard wood job once, and it handled that stuff like that was its purpose in life, was moving 3 35ish foot alders at once on mostly flat or down hill land. Alder is Neary 5,000lb per cord green.. there really is nothing out there like it being made. . It's a gerrett 15 There is a smaller 10 they made as well. There is also a very rare loader version of a 15 as well. We have one of about 200 made. And yes its basically capable of going just about anywhere but a liquid mud hole deeper then it is high. one point in the video with no logs I'm climbing a near 25 degree slope on dirt, no rock. "((The engine is identical to what you find in a ford 9N,8N,2N tractor so mabe close to 40hp at 172ci.))" . I estimated its gear reduction in super low once, came up with something around 175 to 1 in lowest gear LOL. when you have traction and gearing, you don't need much hp, LOL.
Can that Prius out run a storm?😂👍
at the fed speed limit i out ran it LOL
Roadside repair👍👍
sorta road side, behind the parts store. far better then a 1,000 toe bill!!!!!
40 mpg is awesome! Sure can’t complain about that👍👍
Sadly the cost of repairs was about the same as had I just came in a truck at 18mpg. I filled with fuel in Casper, Wyoming headed east, and made it all the way back there. Running ethanol free 91 octane at $3.43 a gal. Then I filled back up with the stuff, and got home with about 50 extra, 3.43 is nearly $2 a gal less then out west for the premium. Casper was more or less the half way point. I also did the vast majority of the hole drive without using the intestate. As many western states are posted at 80 and I ran 55ish at best with the dinky little trailer and tires.
Hey David! We got split done👍💪💪👍
Just subscribed,I hope you make it home safely
I made it, about 5 days of delays overall but I made it. I have a little more video from a stop at the national museum of military automobiles. Definitely worth it, should anyone be on the western side of Wyoming.
That's awesome be safe out there 🙏
Good luck drive safe!!
Vrry good ❤❤❤❤
Safe travels!
Thanks for making the trip David! Man we got a lot split.
Yep.. Thats the dictionary definition of getting work done right now. Thanks for watching.
Very nice old skidder
Just the same engine as a old Ford 9n/8n/2n tractor, 172ci gas. Definitely beats a 3pt winch on a 35hp tractor by a long shot, as it's around 8,000lbs
LOL rong video LOL definitly room for improvment.
😳
Yeah im gessing you don't see soft woods that big, LOL. The beams went to a local covered bridge project. Other then the rail car it was made on, all the timbers came from are mill.
2nd attempt at uploading this one. Apparently it's recorded at 480p And it affected somthing the first time.
🎉🎉🎉
J'ai sorti du bois quelque année avec une machine comme celle celle-là
Nice looking timber!!!
Thanks for watching.
