Embracing a cherished dream, my twin sons, Mehervan & Mahavir, inspired me to create a RUclips Channel. During one of our urban explorations, Mahavir proposed the brilliant idea to document and share our adventures on RUclips. It was during this moment that Mehervan suggested the perfect name for our channel: 'DaddyExplorerOz'!
Over the past 18 months, we've witnessed consistent growth, and in 2024, we collectively decided to diversify our content with more motorcycle-related videos. As part of this evolution, we've renamed the channel to AdvExplorerOz. Accompanying the rebranding, we've unveiled a new logo, banner, and an array of cool merch, including neck buffs, T-shirts, and stickers.
We are genuinely excited to invite you to be a part of our adventures! Your support in liking, sharing, and subscribing is greatly appreciated as we embark on this rebranding journey. A heartfelt thank you for transforming the AdvExplorerOz channel into a thriving community!

The Must-Have Mods and Accessories for My 2023 BMW R1250 GS Adventure Triple Black
Like many video content , those with the talent and skill make the difficult look extremely easy . I am positive as I not familiar with the plastics , this job is going to be harder than the video suggests . I am going to see whether there is any additional video on the process before I jump into the installation One area of immediate concern is that I fitted the Lone Rider Headlight protector and I have a sick feeling that the hexagon space used to attach the under the nose frame for the lights has already been taken up by the headlight protector . Can anyone confirm whether this is in fact the case ? If so, what is the work around. Many thanks and as always great educational video
Thank you for your comment! I completely understand your concerns, especially when tackling something unfamiliar. Rest assured, there’s no issue installing the lights even with the Lone Rider headlight protector already fitted. The screws and brackets that come with the lights are designed to allow the headlight protector brackets to be mounted in between. It’s a bit tricky to explain in writing, but once you remove the plastics, it will become clear how it all fits together. For step-by-step guidance on removing the plastics, I recommend checking out this video: ruclips.net/video/Hf0G3_MCDas/видео.html Best of luck with your installation, and feel free to reach out if you have more questions! 😊
First of all, it was a good video. Doesn't BMW void this warranty?
Hi, I checked with my local dealer and they said it doesn't void the warranty because we are not cutting any of the oem cables. In order to not cover a particular claim, BMW will have to proof that the fault is related to the modification..if they can't, then it will be covered. Hope this helps.
Mine arrived last week, they’re still in the box together with MotoCan but I’ll be fitting them once I’ve got a day I can allocate to it. Whilst the bike (1250GSA Trophy) is stripped down I’ll also be fitting a Denali Soundbomb I bought a few weeks ago, together with heated vest controller. I’m going to remove the tank for my installation because I have the two extra cables (horn and heated vest controller) to feed through, but I also want the cables out of the way just in case the bike ever has to go in for work to be done. I’m looking forwards to having the extra illumination for those dark, unlit backroads 👌
Excellent. I am also planning to get a sound bomb sometime soon. Might remove the tank then and reroute the cables. Good luck with your install. Cheers!
Must be very helpful at night.
Most definitely
Look good on the bike
I know, right? It's like giving the bike a stylish pair of glasses-now it’s ready to shine on the road!
Now that's a cool pair of lights. As always very details installation video. Appreciate the time you have taken to prepare this video. I see that you have affiliate links for Lone Ride, is there a discount code ? or discount associated with your link?
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you found the installation video detailed. As for the discount, unfortunately Lone Rider does'nt offer anyt discounts. The only have a sale event once a year during Black Friday which is somewhere in November with discounts of 20% accross the range. If you use my link for purchase, I will receive a small kickback which helps the channel , this is at no cost to you and the prices remain the same even if you went to the Lone Rider website directly. Appreciate the support!
What do you think of the final outcome? Let me know your thoughts.
With family, every outing becomes lasting memories. Boys have grown up...Nice!!
Thank you
Does this interfere when you are in comms with another rider or a passenger? What would be the protocol of connection setup to integrate rider to rider comms and still maintain this functionality? Would that even be possible?
Hey, no it does not interfere. On my cardo I use the mesh system a most of the riders in my group use a cardo packtalk so we just get connected instantly and I can still use the voice command, and listen to music. I do not connect my cardo to my motorcycle display.I find that when I do that i messes with the audio quality. Using the mesh system on the cardo works really well for comms and verything else. Hope this helps! If you found the content helpful, please do sub for future content! Ride safe
Great to see you bro with this update in 2025. Chigee is making life easy for riders with voice command feature. You and Chigee are reliable 🙂
Thank you.
Thanks Gurby. I had no idea there was an update. Just updated and followed the steps and it works. I use a Cardo Packtalk Neo and works well the Phone 1 and Phone 2 connection as you described! Thanks champ!
That's really good to known

This is a great video. I am thinking about trying to get an RE Himi 450 as my first bike and was actually curious if there were heated grips for it since it is currently winter time. Saving this video in my favorites for the future. Thanks for putting in time for this.
Thank you so much, glad you found the video helpful. The Himalayan are great bikes. Please do subscriber for more future content.
Thank you for this video. Can you tell me if this also works by holding down the turn signal button, like with CarPlay?
I tested this, unfortunately no, it doesnt. But I am not sure if thats becasue I have auxaliry lights that turn on and off using the same funcition.
Did this work for you? Drop a messag below!!
Thanks Gurby. I had no idea there was an update. Just updated and followed the steps and it works. I use a Cardo Packtalk Neo and works well the Phone 1 and Phone 2 connection as you described! Thanks champ!
Excellent
Review is good but seriously you need to work on the sound. Very hard to follow
Thank you, will keep that in mind. Are you referring to the sound while riding?
@@AdvExOzyes mostly indeed. Wind and engine noise make it very hard to understand you.
Thank you, just made some changes to my mic setup. Hopefully some improvement soon
Great review. Thanks. For direct VOICE COMMANDS to Google Assistant, PAIR the Chigee to your headset as Phone #2. Go into UTILITIES on the Chigee..... select "OPTION" then select "HEADSET". The Chigee did all the work from that point onwards and completed the pairing. My setup is a Samsung S20 > Andriod Auto > PackTalk Bold > 2017.5 BMW R1200GS (no TFT) > Chigee AIO5 for BMW. I'm assuming the same is true for Apple devices and OS, most audio devices and BMW bikes with the NAV prep. I just say "Ok Google" into the headset and Google Assistant starts up.
Thank you 😊
Hi, that's a good video. Would it be a good fit for a motorbike equipped with a ride-by-wire system like Himmy, is it working well with yours?
Hi there, yes it works well. I have it installed on mine too.. works a charm 😄
23:22 lmfao, your phone will not overheat mounted because there's ventilation. the phone WILL overheat because of maintaining that wireless connection. I'm damaging my phone more and the battery drains a lot faster than if i were to just mount my phone there - only risking my camera from vibration damage. Phones are highly water resistant btw. you dont need "waterproofing", that's for diving.
LMFAO..Thanks for your valuable feedback!! Try using your phone on a day where its between 35- 40 degrees Celsius day and then maybe revisit this comment. I have seen my phone overheat relatively ( and phones of other riding mates) easy on such days but have not had any issues when using the phone via Android auto. If you only ride on pleasent days, then sure , maybe you won't need this. The ultimate truth is there is no right or wrong choice, its just what works for you and all I am doing in relaying information based on my tests and experience. I just love how ppl just love to pick on one mute point but completely disregard all the other beneficial information given in the video. Anyways , ride safe and stay upright! PS: I would like to see you leave your phone on your handlebar and ride when it's pouring down.
Looks fun
Thank you. Certainly was
Happy New Year to you and your family, that looked like a whole lot of fun!!!😅
Thanks Biggie, it's was our very first time on a speed boat and also swimming in a lake. Was a pleasant experience and loved every bit of it. Boys were super stoked! 😎
Just watched this. Great video, and am seriously looking at getting one, but, has the price serioualy gone up by about $150 in the last 4 months....? You said low $700s, but I am getting $850, with the link...?
Thank you, glad you found the video helpful. I didn't realise that the price has gone up. They did have some sales during black friday but I think it's no longer available. So sorry for not being able to assist much.
Very fun day out and a new experience for the boys.
sure was!
Very interesting experience.
Thank you
Thanks for sharing your journey and experience. A beautiful way to sum up 2024! Love it.
Thank you 👍🙏
WOw, that looks super fun! The boys looks so happy :)
Thanks so much! They definitely had a great time.
A great way to end your 2024 journey. I'm really happy to see how you've bounced back after that freaking accident. @AdvExOz you too my friend!! ❄️🎅🎄😁🏍👍❤️
Great video Gurby.... really enjoyed it! Wanted to wish you, your family and viewers a Merry Christmas and I look forward to riding with you on more adventures in 2025! 🤠
Thanks so much for all the support Graham . Wishing you a Merry Christmas too. See you in 2025!
I had a similar accident 8 years ago on my 1200 gs.Burst my t6 vertebra. After fusing my 567 I spent 3 months in a full spinal brace waist to neck. I was back riding as soon as I could. Also it took a while to get my confidence back riding in the dirt again. I also had a good mate who was sympathetic to my hesitancy off road after my accident. I never contemplated not riding again. I’ve had lots of adventures since and still love riding as much as I ever did. Well done in your comeback. Great videos.
Thanks so much this..always great to have some encouragement and to know that I am not alone in this. Thank you once again. Ride safe..
Very interesting.
Thank you sir
Congratulations on the 1000 subs 👏 ive totally enjoyed watching you on your adventures, so glad that you have made a good recovery and are back out there enjoying the tralis. My aim for 25 is to join you on the trails for a cup of chai 😀
Thank you Biggie. That would be awesome 😎👍. Thanks again for supporting the channel.
Where did you get the windshield?
amzn.to/3DoYMLb Got it from Amazon, link above
I currently ride a tiger 900 GT Pro. Took one for a test ride yesterday and was absolutely amazed at how this bike handled from a middle weight to heavy weight bike. I was so impressed have ordered one for January delivery fully loaded ASA version triple black with gold wheels. Always found the size of GS’s intimidating but this version is a game changer with the adaptive height control.
That's really awesome man. Good on ya! Congratulations 👏🎉. Tripele black with gold wheels will look really good.
Very good review. Thank you
Thank you.
Another great show on BMW bike. The machine seems sturdy, and the specs & ASA making this bike looks quite special. Great show and review. Hope to get my hands on BMW R1300 GSA or I will fly to Australia to ride your 1250 first 😊
Thanks brother
Great review, Garry. ASA is going to be controversial but not aligned with a GSA. Cruiser, maybe. Gear changes seemed a bit harsh on my test ride around the suburbs. How do you think it will go in stop, start journeys ?
I forgot to mention. Suddenly, the 1250 seems like a desirable and more attractive GSA for the traditionalist. That said, look forward to upgrading to a GS one day from my Himi
Thanks you. Yes agree that the shifts are a bit harsh but I think it will get better as the bike runs in. It a dream to ride in traffic, instant power when you pull off and easy to lane filter as well. Definitely some pros there.
I have a soft spot for the 1250's so I may come across as biased, I am sticking with mine for the foreseeable future.
Hope this reviews answer some of your questions. Let me know what you think 😉
I have Karoo 4 on my R1300GS and I agree , they are great !!
I had the anakee adventure on my GSA when I got it and I learnt the hard way off-road . The karoo 4 are so bloody good both onroad and off-road. I am glad you share the same opinion 😊😀
Are you pairing your headset to the bike or your phone? I can’t seem to get the volume control to work via the wonder wheel nor my headset volume controls.
The ASA is subjective indeed. That what they said when the standard shift was subsumed by the automatic shift with cars a long time ago. That is called progress. Yes, the ASA is "my cup of tea" as they say. My nose stopped rubbing the ceiling a long time ago.
It’s a tough decision, but progress is progress I reckon.
Worth if not so ugly. If only they had kept the looks I'd have gotten it :) not even on my top 5 to get now
The looks seems to the main put off for many and I get that.
Really good review Gurby. You answered allot of questions I had in mind. Still not sure is ASA is the way to go, but can definitely see that it down downshift and upshift quite well. Might take out out for a test ride! Thanks again.
It's good to see you're considering a test ride! Head on to Doncaster BMW Motorrad if you live around Melbourne.
Very good.
Glad you liked it!
Very helpful.
Thank you!
Hi gurby. Just got your video....fantastic review as always..to be honest. From yours to the 1300 .price and spec won't make me change I'll stop with your beautiful machine. Thank you again nice 50min viewing. Ride safe my friend...old dave uk
@@davidsanderson1891 thanks Dave, I hope it wasn't too long of a video.. it's really hard to get everything in.. hope you are travelling well.
Hi Dave, just published something new that I think you will like..
ASA = GIANT SCOOTER - For my real ones, how am I going to wheelie this bike with no clutch? How am I gonna do a crazy roosts off road. Man make it electric if you gonna make it a big scooter. Great way to sell more bike for people with more money than brains - Loving my R 1250 GS 40th Anniversary with every option lets go!!!
You still can do a Wheelie and a roosts, just not the conventional way from what I gather. Time will tell .
