Foxy G's Soapbox at Chico Feo
Добавлен 10 мар 2023
The Soapbox is an original work open showcase that takes place every Monday(that it's not raining) in Folly Beach,SC at the coolest little outdoor music venue, dive bar and culinary oasis known as Chico Feo. We welcome songwriters, poets, comics, spoken worders or anything else as long as it's yours. It's ok to slip in a cover every now and again, but the focus remains on original work. We have fun on Mondays and get some amazing talent because we listen and we are open to receive and because of that things that are worth receiving magically appear. If you are interested in taking part, message me on instagram @foxygs_soapbox or email me at gafox67@gmail.com

I love this band. This is a recording from their featured set at the Soapbox way back in April
John Mailander's Forecast - Isn't It a Pity

I'm not sure if that's the name of the song, but these guys were unbelievable. They were super cool and gracious to stop by our little ol' soapbox by the sea and absolutely light it up. Sorry for the little feedback squeals from time to time. All my fault and these guys were good sports about it.

This is a song that came directly out of the Soapbox. Here I'm joined by my friend Joan Hale for some cool harmonies.

Another great song from the rock n roll power duo Illiterate Light from their 2nd Soapbox appearance.

Here South Dakota is performed by Bailey and Wyly Bigger at the Soapbox on 1/22/24. I think this is a beautiful song
Go Cocks! by Mary Goff
Просмотров 223Год назад
Making her Soapbox debut, Mary Goff shines a light on women’s rights being stripped away in the state of SC by all male legislators and all male SC Supreme Court as their invasive laws are forced on them. By all intents and purposes abortion is banned in SC and nobody seems to know about it or care. #womensrights #democracy #vote #representation #notheocracy #art #spokenword #truthtopower
Here She Comes

This is a song I wrote about seeing a beautiful woman in a red dress walking towards me and how it made me feel. It's a story older than rock n roll. This is performed by me, George Alan Fox, and two of my Big Stoner Creek bandmates Matt Hamrick and Mason Pitts.
River Material by Fertile Dirt recorded live at the Soapbox 06/05/23

Tommy Dew, Kevin Wadley and Jeff Cormier were joined by Mason Pitts to play the Soapbox as Fertile Dirt. Tommy, Kevin and Jeff have been part of the Charleston music scene since there was one. In many ways these guys helped lay the foundation for this vibrant and multi faceted scene that we enjoy today. We were honored by their performance at the soapbox and hope they come back soon.
Danielle Howle Speaks Live from the Soapbox at Chico Feo 04/10/23
Просмотров 135Год назад
I am a long time lover of Danielle Howle's songwriting. I think she is one of the best. Something I love almost as much is her stream of consciousness flow between songs. Sometimes funny, sometimes provocative, always endearing and never the same twice. So, I had this idea to edit all of the music from her 30 minute Soapbox set and leave only her dialogue with the audience. If you're wondering,...
The Frog Song Mike Kaufman live at the Soapbox at Chico Feo
Просмотров 227Год назад
Mike Kaufman is a good friend to the Soapbox and a great finger picker and songwriter. However, I could not resist sharing his version of a song that I wrote. Mike is the first person to cover a song of mine that actually goes out and performs it in public. I gotta tell you, it feels pretty good. You can find Mike's music here mikekaufman.bandcamp.com Thanks, Mike.

Good job
@@tomsmith5154 Thanks, Tom
Everything has gone to hell since they closed the roller rink
Are they going to play Chico again when they come to town for the PourHouse show?
Nice upload
so good!ahhh!
Great song. Bailey, what is this song about? A person in SD? I live in ND. Not song worthy. 😢
Thx Foxy
The pleasure is mine.
Gorgeous woman .. she is a very talented guitarist .. I’ve witnessed her a couple of times .. Beautiful !!
beautiful vocals! Great recording!
Keep up the great work, appreciate the music!
Thanks, Matt
Sound is great
Thanks, Scott. I learn little more every time I do one of these. I just upgraded some gear, so I hope to do more.
You might like this Scott. Live Big Stoner from last weeks show at Mosquito Beach. I think the sound turned out pretty good. ruclips.net/video/dRvdzEP7kvc/видео.html
Awesome stuff 🎉
Thanks. Those guys are fantastic.
Wow. Now I have to go play my guitar which will never have my fingers dance around it like Harlem Farr. Fun stuff.
She's really amazing. The Psycodelics are playing the Sol Slam Mountain Jam festival that the Soapbox is a part of and I hope we can talk her into a playing a st.
Mesmerizing. Sheesh.
Eliza is great for sure.
Good tune, I like it..
Thank you, Jimmy. Hope you are well.
One of my favorites!
Kirkie?
Your voice is a lot like Stevie Wonder's. Great stuff, you two.💜🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Guy doesn’t look frail😏💪🏼
Love it❤
Catchy tune, caught me hook line and sinker
Thanks for listening. These guys are great and met here at the Soapbox.
Good beat and you can dance to it!
I give it a 92 Mr. Clark.
I think this has been the best guitar tone I've gotten. Josh's rig is on point.
Filthy 😤 🔥🔥🔥
Her voice is PURE
WOW! So good!
Meredith Foster is fantastic. She also is doing her part to elevate the Charleston songwriting scene with her Dear Dive Bar songwriting series
Wow, who is this guy? So beautiful
He goes by the name Caminator. You can follow him on Instagram @caminator1000 He also plays with The Psycodelics and Stop Light Observations. Both based out of Charleston, SC. We were lucky that he stopped by the Soapbox and made his solo debut.
great performance
She is truly talented. Thanks for listening.
Love it. Man I've got to get out and see The Psychodelics that other member I saw on here a week or so ago was really good too.
They are fantastic. The Psycodelics are playing at the Sol Slam Festival that the Soapbox has been invited to. Also, the Sunday Sessions at the Bounty Bar over here on Folly are unbelievable but also a long way on a school night. It's an ever evolving rotation of some of Charelston's finest of which members of the Psycodelics take part in often.
@@foxygssoapbox-2317 I'll have to get over there. I really don't have a job so that's not the problem. It's mainly driving back home after too much fun.
And is a BMF besides..
Love it, thank you
Thanks, Mark. There will be more from Chuck and other poets as well
I wish Folly Beach didn't seem like the other side of the world on Monday evenings from my corner of Charleston County. But I'm gonna get o'er there again some day.
I completely get it. I look at that drive to Awendaw Green all the time and shake my head. It's the drive home that's the issue.
This was fantastic.
Chuck Sullivan is an amazing human.
