Why is the pianist using music for a Beethoven Concerto?? Did she not have enough preparation time?? Ok. Mask?? I get it. Don't breathe germs on Beethoven. Just because you CAN use music(new technologies excluded?) doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I guess Tchaikovsky especially loves the first theme of the first movement in this concerto, which appears many times in the exposition, development and recapitulation in tonic key and dominant key played by soloist or orchestra, but it can be seen that the composer always presents it in full. In other words, the composer is reluctant to use "sonata form" to cut or deal with this theme, but to show this theme in the way of “theme and variation". Also, it is interesting that the composer has subtly developed the second theme in the opposite way. This is really a brilliant concerto by the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky. It is a wonderful performance by the soloist and the orchestra under the baton of the conductor.
