Chester was just a part of six in the LP project, not the only one, the other guys have the right to take a step forward. You don’t like Emily as a human being but she is a great singer. I think it wasnt only rushed it was more so like emotional bating for money from the studio and Emily feels like inserted but doesnt fit. i heard the song and for as much as she is a good vocalist i felt like she was trying to imitate Chester and his dynamic and no you dont do that. What made Mike and Chester's special was not the back and foward they were people with years living as close friends before LP and that carry over too well on their songs. Emily doesnt know anyone of LP on that level thus it feels odd and forced and i think they should have a recast of a Vocalist and take it under a different dynamic. More of the new gen understanding old gen on life and music, because if you recall the last albums where about how life has taken us millenials through the swings and how we have grown from them. graba anew vocalist and go with the theme of gen z understaing what us milenials went through and help build a new wolrd that will stop the BS that is happening on the world

You seem pressed about a bunch of things that don’t generally matter. They aren’t doing anything to change what Chester contributed. It’s a different direction. They are back. If the music is good then that’s it.

Unfortunately gonna have to slightly disagree with some people on here. Alan will never replace cary hiroyuki tagawa as shang tsung. But he is valid in his own portrayal as any other actor of said character. To compare is foolish and honestly only going on hype. Alan lee is great as shang much potential. But because the game lacks anything of quality,the story is rushed,and suffers because of it. The poorly executed script holds mr. Lee back i feel. Mk12/mk1 simply isn't good in the areas it needs to be. And the only good things seem to be purely aesthetically. Im not saying no. But compared to previous iterations. It lacks the oomph it desperately needs. Alans shang doesn't have the intimidation factor cary does. Alan seems to be copying a voice and role instead of actually spinning it on his own take. But this is again due to the writing. It's close but no cigar. I feel it suffers the same that art butler's portrayal did. When you rush things and do things hastily for hype. It suffers. And unfortunately that is what happened with alan lee. I want his shang to be good but the more I'm trying the more im disappointed in this game. And more so disappointed because he had so much more potential in his shang than wb and nrs let him have. But because they pulled the big guns with cary hiroyuki tagawa in mk11,they spoiled their fanbase and now when we are left with mediocrity. We feel like shit because of it. I feel nrs is trying to find the next high/ego boost than actually make a good game. Honestly they should have left it at mk11 and made non canon fun games instead. Or moved on to their injustice games since that seems to be what ed boon really wants. So....eh. in short,alan lee is good. The game he's in is not. And just because a few good things are in a game doesn't make it a good game. Mk11 isn't the best but at least it's consistently so and at least it's easy to follow. If shang tsung is the only good thing. But he's gotta be paid for the game that he's starring in and half the game needs to be bought. That's bad. Mk11 had issues but not this bad. Sorry alan lee you have such AMAZING talent wasted on a mid tier mk game.
