This is why weddings should be done in a church where the couple is reminded that the sacrament of marriage demands respect and dignity. This could never happen in a church unless the person purposely sought to defile everything the sacrament stands for and pretty much wanted to end things. It would be an absolute embarrassment. It really wouldn’t happen because the couple prepares for six months prior to the wedding with courses and counseling. The church is there for a reason. They safeguard the sacraments, including the sacrament of marriage.
