Hi, once it begins to froth you know its fermenting. It usually takes 2-4 weeks to fully ferment after it darkens in colour, but the best measure I find is by taste.

Its very easy, very tasty too.

Most mornings for a quick and easy breakfast I have a 7 minute soft boiled dipping egg with some toast soldiers, done in the air fryer, no waiting for water to boil in a pan, just 7 minutes in the air fryer then held in some tongs for a quick run under the tap to stop the egg cooking.

Thank you for the comment, this particular dish I let cool down after a sneaky taste and going to freeze for the next time we have an Indian.

You should! They are very easy to use, must lightly dust them with flour first though, otherwise the pastry could stick to the mould.

You are absolutely right, what we in the UK call cornflour you folks across the pond refer to as cornstarch.

Thanks for the visit, as an alternative to cumin any much used Indian spices would work and retain that Bhaji style, coriander, turmeric and indeed those you suggested (curry powder or garam masala) please experiment and let me know your opinions so I can tweak other versions. Although this is a gluten free (no flour) recipe, I'll be trying a slightly drier version with a little flour in the mix and uploading in the future.

lol, I know it was pretty much an after thought, but a dish so tasty and inviting with all that caramelised chorizo seemed too good to cover or hide, but I get ya, I still had to make the effort to pick up the parsley in the supermarket though
