Another reason to skip such an "adventure" besides the boredom and pain is that the place is an absolute dump. Everything imaginable is left behind including human waste, oxygen bottles galore, and of course the dead bodies some that have been there for years. A hike in the woods with mountains, streams, lakes or waterfalls sure beats any minute of an Everest attempt. Just seems downright boring.

Sharpe died for a number of reasons. The most significant of those reasons was the absolute idiocy - collective idiocy I might add - of those afraid to act despite the obvious need to do just that - act, that is. A man sitting alone at height for an extended period - wearing no supplemental oxygen - NEEDS HELP. This poor fellow sat, not for a short period, but for an extended period, clearly absent O2 and clearly unmoving. What the hell do you think was going on?! I'm sure that many who passed him and did nothing, are now squirming uncomfortably, knowing that they, among others, are sharing the collective blame for Sharpe's death. I'm glad you're uncomfortable.
