At the multiple award-winning Billabong Zoo (Port Macquarie, NSW) you can get up-close and personal to Australian and exotic animals. You can pat, stroke, feed, hold, hear and see over 85 species of mammals, reptiles and birds. We care for over 200 animals in this friendly 10 acre Koala and Wildlife Park. Enjoy our much loved Zoo Talks throughout the day. All free as they are included in the Admission price. Learn about our passion for conservation as Ambassadors for Wildlife and our world-renowned koala breeding programme.

Introducing the Newest Gems Here at Billabong Zoo!
Billabong Zoo's Koala Breeding Centre is ecstatic to introduce to you the newest two members of our family, a pair of adorable koala joey boys named Rocky and Pebble!
These fluffy bundles of joy have just began to explore life outside of their mothers' pouches and have been charming our visitors with their playful antics and curious personalities. Rocky, with his adventurous spirit, loves exploring the eucalyptus branches, while his more laid-back cousin Pebble, enjoys snuggling up in the cozy crooks of the trees.
Be sure to visit our Koala Breeding Centre next time you are at Billabong Zoo to catch a glimpse of Rocky and Pebble as they grow and thrive in their new home!

Did you know many species of plants wouldn't exist if it weren't for the Southern Cassowary? 🌿 This is because some rainforest seeds require cassowary scat to help them germinate. That's right, cassowary dung acts as a ready-made fertiliser. And in turn this whole process even benefits other wildlife like our beautiful Lorikeets. 🦜
