How long did it take for you to grow your hair?

Just a tip bro from someone who’s a few years older and has had this hairstyle for 10+ years since I was a kid. You should use better products, and you shouldn’t use that much curling cream or wash some of it out if you do before finishing the style and squeeze the excess oil and cream out of your tips. That’s what’s giving your hair that brittle almost “fake” wig like type of coils instead of natural coils that are soft to the touch and don’t crinkle or turn hard/brittle on the ends. Try using ShaeMoisture brands cream conditioner, and instead of using so much curling cream to moisturize your curls, get Cantù “Coconut oil” spray or “Hair milk” spray by “Carols Daughter” brand. It’s a thick white spray in a bottle that you can spray all over your Afro after it dries post shower, throughout the day, and even to retain moisture overnight for “wake up curls”. But you can also use it when your hair is still kinda wet (you won’t want it soaking wet, just wet enough to spread the curling cream) and then try using ShaeMoisture brand “Curl smoothie” it has neem oil, silk protein and coconut oil/butter in it and it’s a lot better than the curl product you use in this video, and smells good enough that girls mistake it for cologne. Trust me in the curl smoothie by ShaeMoisture, I have soft hair girls that the females love running their hands through that look almost as “tight” but even more natural and thicker/blacker as a result. My curls woudk straight up put Corbin bleu to shame;, and I’ve had ex’s threaten to kill me for pranking them in to thinking I shaved it lol You wont regret these tips bro, you got the methods all down, which is simple shit. But your product game needs work, snd you gotta use less cream on the tips so they don’t get so fake looking. You don’t want it to look like you filled your hair with product, and the products I listed for you give a more natural appearance. All 3 brands I listed make some of the best products you can find at Walmart/target/amazon/etc.
