In Depth Look at Rafael Nadal's Custom Tennis Shoes

Rafa Nadal is notoriously superstitious, so it comes as no surprise that he doesn't always change sneaker models with annual updates. While each new Nike model has featured an updated outsole tread pattern, Rafa's have always remaine...

  • @adnkhan
    @adnkhan Месяц назад

    The main diff between Zverev and almost anyone using semi western grip is that how he twists his wrist at the start. Unlike most who will have the racquet face pointing to the side or back, Zverev's strings are pointing to the oncoming ball. It 1) makes his racquet to go lower than the oncoming ball for more spin, 2) allows a more vertical racquet at contact for a firmer contact and will eventually lead to a heavier ball

    They gotta stop saying this is Rogers racket.. He retired.. So that's it.. As much as I liked him and I ro play with the rf97 v11 and 13.. It should be discontinued.. He has enough endorsements from other brands.. Let it be.. Let Dimitrov or someone else let it demonstrate.. Or just promote the blade more.. Or make a 332 gr pro staff like the old days.. But dont link this rubbish tacket to him. It s the 315gr, there s no 340 or rf97 anymore.. It s the 315 gr version

    justo a tip, he has a tight wrist when make contacto with the ball. it is not loose

  • @thanhn2001
    @thanhn2001 Год назад

    The thing that most people miss is that the body weight is "thrown into the court" BEFORE contact. In order for that energy to transfer through the body into racquet, you need to hit the brakes. Watch the video again and notice how Sinner hits the brakes with his leading foot and leg and how his entire body stops as his arms and racquet whips forward. And if you watch other slow-mo of pros, you might actually see them move very slight backwards, like an inch not falling back, because they apply so much force on the braking leg. After contact you can allow the body continue rotating or forward into the court to relieve stress on the body but it's not necessary. It's something that happens naturally and shouldn't be forced. Allowing your body to continue forward at contact actually will cause you to use your wrist or other muscles to PUSH the ball. Causing strain and inconsistency.

    • @idcharles3739
      @idcharles3739 2 месяца назад

      He's not throwing his body weight into the court at all. Tennis is all about rotating the shoulders so you can get the racket moving. The head stays still. Shoulders rotate around the vertical axis of the neck. To get the shoulders rotating, you need to use your abs and your legs. So he's throwing his weight from one foot to the other to get rotation of his hips and that allows more upper body rotation. It just happens that his right leg is more in the court. Compare with open stance forehand and you'll see there is no throwing weight into court at all. Because feet are side by side. There's a good Djokovic slomo of 10 open stance forehands. Since I started to focus on thinking about rotation of the shoulders, it has made a huge difference to my consistency, topspin and racket head speed.

    Rafa’s racket has a flex of 65ra strung. That’s originally 67ra, then strung several times to loosen the frame the 65ra strung. Silicone in the handle. Lead tape. Not 70ra strung like this racket sold. And all that weight is not from graphite alone. Not the same as Rafa’s…

      I think this is referring to a new variation that is being released that is different from the standard retail Pure Aero (so not the Standard, Tour, Plus etc). I suspect it will be similar but not precisely the same as per other retailers attempts to sell exact copies (the Japan only Nishikori exact spec racket etc). I very much doubt the origin model will have 70 RA like the current retail versions, that is the first thing collectors and racket nerds will check before shelling out on it.

    • @jorgeandrescoppiano
      @jorgeandrescoppiano Год назад

      @@gb44509 totally right. Current 2023 model is 68ra unstrung and 65ra strung. Like Rafa’s. The origin could be kept the same. One easy route to sell the frame could be to make them with the bumped up sw, weight, and Rafa’s balance. Because this frame is meant to be a Rafa Autograph and the specs info is easy to find on the web. That would be closer to his frame. Even better, just make the APDO, with the Origin pj, a softer 65ra strung, and include some instructions to let the user apply lead and silicone himself to reach Rafa’s specs and feel. More legitimacy, more branding, more placement, less costs from less graphite used, more sales
