Telluride Music Co.
США
Добавлен 30 июн 2017
Musician owned and operated since 1992, Telluride Music Co. offers an extensive selection of high-quality new, used, and vintage stringed instruments. With a showroom at 8,750 feet elevation, Telluride Music Co. may very well be the highest guitar shop in the world. Only two blocks from Lift #8 of the Telluride Ski Resort, we’re probably the only guitar shop in North America with a ski rack in the back.
In an industry that is all too focused on big-box stores and high volume, we’re a low-traffic, small-town shop that focuses on attention to detail and expertise backed up by quality instruments. We live in Telluride because we’re passionate about the opportunities the mountains provide, and we work with fine stringed instruments because they inspire us to push our music further and be the musicians we strive to be. Telluride is a magnet for music and a community of artists and creative folks exploring their passions-we’re simply a part of the framework.

Просмотров 1,3 тыс.28 дней назад
irst introduced in 1922 under the direction of acoustic engineer Lloyd Loar, the L-5 has always been considered Gibson's premier archtop guitar. Just like the F-5 mandolin, the L-5 proudly displays a flowerpot inlay on the peghead. In 1934, its size was increased to the 17" Advanced size, which made the L-5 the ideal guitar for the Big Band era. This L-5 rolled out of Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 19...

Просмотров 1222 месяца назад

They're excellent guitars, sure, but we wanted to hear the Large Soundhole with the rich, woody character of mahogany. This D Custom features an Adirondack top, Mahogany back and sides, and an enlarged 4.5"-diameter soundhole. It produces a powerful, robust voice with prominent mid-range punch...

What Does a Collings Dreadnought Sound Like? Collings D2H T Satin Baked Sitka

In many ways, the D2H is a guitar that seems to do everything well. The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought is easily the most popular acoustic guitar design in the world, yet somehow Collings brings this iconic te...
What Does Martins Flagship Model Sound Like? Martin HD-28
Просмотров 3013 месяца назад
When Martin refined the dreadnought design in the '30s, the Style-28 rosewood dreadnought had bold Herringbone purfling around the top edge. Since then, that Herringbone trim has been known as a sign of robust Martin dreadnought tone. So much so that a good '30s D-28 is often called a "Herringbone." Introduced by popular demand in 1976, the Martin HD-28 includes many of the features players and...

What a gorgeous oval hole mandolin, in every way.
Sorry but sounds very very average
Cool cover! One of my favs from that album.
in blind test rd328 sound better to me
it's the Martin for me
This isn't evem a comparison
you know, if you think about it, it kinda is. you can compare anything. apples AND oranges.
000-15m (&000-sm) shine as finger picking guitars. They also mix well and can be enhanced with an amp. The D15m has a deeper, louder, more bass driven tone with a body suited better for strumming. Conclusion: we need both!
Went to a picking the other day and my tuner battery was dead. The mandolin player had one of these. I borrowed it and it was nice. i'm gonna get one - i just got to be sure to put it back in my guitar case after charging it
Nice!
Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!
Martin by country mile to my ears
The Collings Traditionals are REAL nice. Prices are a little outrageous though.
I need dd6
The 000-15m Martin has beautiful flame top
My dude ripping I got mine, also my favourite Riff on Guitar. And I have this pedal, it's lovely!
Superb! 🎉
I love the super crisps and sustain sound....
Golly, hit me with those tabs! Beautiful!
Led Zeppelin, Going to California - You, Sir, Made My Day. Beautiful Playing really illustrating what the Artisan Special can sound like in the right hands - Thank You!
Holy hell . Yes the Martin sounds looser and more rugged but the rk doesn’t get trampled . It’s much closer then the price point would suggest
I prefer it! Sounds wiser and well seasoned.
I love it!
Martins are great but being around a long time doesnt make a guitar sound better. Recording king are Martins without the history.
I really do not like the light streaks of Ebony on the fingerboards whatsoever. It bugs me. But they are beautiful guitars
Sounds great.
The 000-15m is the most balanced in tone and clarity and it has a nice shimmer in the voice
what tune is that? sounds familiar like fleetwood mac or steely dan
rhiannon bro fleetwod mack
Recording King sounds great and maybe even a bit " cleaner" Collings has more " thickness" of sound but not worth the big money for that difference unless you are wealthy ( and then probably not a " normal musician without a rich girlfriend "
12 for me
They not got a tuner
Them Recording kings have done it compared to prices 👍
Sweet like candy
Personally, I liked the OO-18 out of all 3. They all 3 sounded great together at the end. Thanks for the comparison video. 👏
adirondack sound cool
Any chance you have tabs for this? Great playing!
00 15 all the way in my opinion and taste! Great video 👍
I've inherited the exact same with luxury case it's in storage Spain..ive got a hand injury so cant play for a while till after operation it's arthritis lump..ive never played the guitar..I prob sell it..early next year when I go spain..by the way you play excellent and what a sound!
I always love a good dreadnaught for my finger style open tunings
That sounded really good!
Martin all day long
Love this shootout man. Makes me feel awesome about my choice of the 000-15M. I wish I had those bitchin pegheads though!!!!!!!
Wonder how it would affect pedals with a BBD circuit like analog delays, chorus, etc
I had a Recording King and now have Martin D18 and there is no comparison, Martin is in a different league. Just save up a little and get a Martin you will be happier 😊
I think the rk sounded really good but I think he was more comfortable playing the Martin because of the inch and 3/4 wide neck and the recording King only a inch and 11/16 if you listen there were more mistakes playing the recording King and then when he got the Martin with the wider neck no mistakes
8 times more expensive Collings doesn't really sound 8 times better I'd say ... Yes indeed it has more lows and sounds clearer but I'm telling you once you start warming up that Adi top on the RD328, it sounds like a million bucks, way better than in this video. Mine sounds awesome after playing it more: ruclips.net/video/4t5I_E_mAdI/видео.html
Wabash Blue
I played the DSS-17 at the local music shop and didn't like it.
It would be good to know why....
I think I like the D-18 tone better out of these two
The Collings has deeper bass and mids with more cut, but the Martin has a nice warm fuzz on the bass and mids that the Collings lacks. It's crazy to see that the Martin is new but the Collings is 26 years old, by the tone you would think it's the other way around. One would buy the Collings hoping that it develops the tone of the Martin.
