Yup! But I'm pretty confident the tier 3 archers can tear through their armour, it's just the big archers are gonna be tricky to manoeuvre around haha

Nice little video. I must however add to you armor passives list. Too many Helldivers are ignoring the "Servo Assisted" passive. With all other armor sets you have a max throwing range of 50m. The terrain and weather can affect this, so think of it at somewhere between 45 to 55m. With the "Servo Assisted" passive however, your range is now 75 to 85m! When fighting the commie toasters, range is the game! And giving yourself that extra range when it comes to your stratagems can really make a big difference! The 380 barrage is good for taking out bigger bases and fortresses, however if your max throwing range is 50m then you've likely been spotted by the enemy when throwing it. Plus you're within range of your own barrage! From personal experience I'd say that you need to stay at least 70m away from the 380 if you don't wanna blow yourself up, and even then it's nice to have an additional 10m buffer. The extra range can be the difference between life and death when it comes to the bots and their various defensive implacements.

I personally think the high explosive grenade is a strong option, it has heavy armor penetration - two poorly placed grenades can destroy a hulk. It also continues to be capable of destroying bot fabricators.
I really would never recommend a noob to use heavy armor. The slower speed and less stamina mean you really have to conserve your movement and strategize your position on the field at all times to minimize the impact being heavy has on your gameplay
I hate the bots but with how level 10 bug missions grow stale I might switch sides for a bit

I understand this video is for new players, but I found that telling new players that Light Pen or short range weapons are not ideal can enforce bad habits. For example you tell new players that the DCS is really good for headshots, but headshots aren’t more than lightly protected making medium penetration quite redundant. Automatons move slowly, making these precise shots easier. To best help new players, suggest learning the weaknesses of the enemy, then let the players experiment for themselves

*Loadout* My personal loadout is the Constitution rifle (For democracy, great at headshotting devastators), P4 Senator (Shooting lower plate of uparmoured striders), Autocannon (Fabricator ricochet), Orbital 380 (General purpose), Eagle Airstrike (General purpose), and Orbital Prescision (General purpose and destruction of objectives). *General Purpose and Destruction of Objectives* by General purpose I mean use on outposts and on enemies in the field. With the orbital pres by destruction of objectives if its thrown at the base of MOST objectives it will do the job of a hellbomb (Exceptions include destroy orbital cannons mission) and you can just lob it over the wall without ever breaching the enemies defenses (As long as you're a good throw). *Fabricator ricochet and AC against Fac Striders* By fabricator ricochet on the Autocannon I mean going at the right angle and firing the autocannon into the vent (Where you can throw grenades into), which will make it detonate inside and destroy the fabricator, it is also good at dealing with hulks and you can run under factory striders (Shoot off miniguns first) on automatic and just fire ~6-7 rounds into the belly which will destroy it. *Stealth* Remember, you dont HAVE to shoot everything you see, is there a patrol? Lie down and move out of their path, need to get past an outer defense of an enemy outpost? crawl up behind the guy on the machine gun and melee him, he wont notice until hes dead and it wont alert other bots. use the SC-30 Trailblazer scout or anything with scout perk (Incl. an armour set on the Second (?) page of the basic warbond. *Grenades* Take either the G6 Impact grenades (Basic warbond) or the stun grenade, I generally perfer the G6s but thats just because I suck at using the stun nades. *Play tactically* The bots WANT you to fight them, they get you into a massive suppressing firefight and just repeatedly call reinforcements, you can take them out but it'll require a lot of ammo and stratagems, the bots are SLOW, just run from them and virtually nothing except striders and some chaff (Humanoid looking ones) will catch you. IF you decide to engage a patrol deal with the chaff enemies first, it may seem redundant but they are the only ones that can call for reinforcements, if they do you are now dealing with about 7 patrols and OTHER enemies. If there is a factory strider on an objective drop a barrage or something that does a lot of damage over a long period, then leave and come back later, if they called a bot drop the enemies will probably have just despawned. Lob your stratagem over the wall, dont go inside, you can take out most outposts without ever entering the walls, as for objectives things like stratagem jammers will need to be entered, but if you can just hold the top area with the console you can just throw a orbital pres and jump over the wall without worrying about them destroying the objective, eagle 500s can also work as orbital pres but I dont like having more than one eagle. *VARY YOUR LOADOUT* Some people like their loadout wayyyyy too much, change it up depending on the mission, everyone hates Geological survey, its basically impossible and drains all the reinforces, but I've SOLO'D the final drill just by bringing some smokes, replace your 380 with an eagle smoke strike. On defense missions I recommend the HMG emplacement, EAT rockets, rocket/AC sentry and an eagle. - Commander Bluebaron, lvl 102 Commander of the SES Titan of Liberty and 5 stars on super helldive addict.

No stealth mentioned, for armour I recommend running the SC-30 Trailblazer scout (Pg 8 first warbond), you can literally lie down and get to about 5m from bots without them seeing you, but any armour with scout perk will work (Pings showing enemies and 30% detection distance reduction)
im surprised you didnt mention the 3 c's, cover, cover and more cover. un like the terminids you cant just run they will fill you with holes, stager and ragdoll. so when ever you need to hold ground, input a stratagem, reload, need a breather or anything else do it behind cover. building provide temporary cover but will eventually get destroyed rocks, cliffs, ledges are all good sources of cover and wont get destroyed.
This is a couple of hints for newer players. The light gunner armor is a hidden jem. It gives medium armor protection with the speed of light armor. The democracy protect armors are also really good on the bot front. They chance to not die due to the effect has saved me innumerable times. The machine gun sentry is great for watching your back, and less prone to kill you and teammates than the gatling sentry. When combined with the orbital gas strike, this combo can quickly deal with bug nests.

Dedicated bot diver wanting to share some tips> 1. You don't necessarily need all those clear options on your person. If your ally is loaded to the gills with AT weapons, then you can work on the swarm clear for them as you stick to them. Or if you're built like a sabateur and running around separate from your team, then those swarms are something to disengage from after finishing your task. 2. Medium armor pen is phenomenal and takes away a lot of the aim strictness that the bots otherwise demand. This can be overcome with a judicious application of bullets however. Even a weapon as borderline uncontrollable as the knight can still hit the head with the spray. 3. As Snow said, bot drops in 1 location are the best time to push into your location. Only exception is the detector towers that will drop on you even if there is a bot drop elsewhere. 4. Don't sleep on the turrets. Where an eagle airstrike can deal with a large group, a single rocket sentry can handle a factory strider and a bot drop or 2. Turret, enemy and your placement are key so it can be tricky. My go to build for the 40 minute bot missions. Primary: Exploding Crossbow (Primarily to blow open container doors and pop fabs in the vents) Secondary: Verdict (although I've been rocking the dagger since the Jet Brigade are out in force lately) Grenade: Stun (thermite is good too) Armor: Light Engineer armor (More stuns, but mainly for the Recoil control) Support Weapon: AMR (makes short work of most heavy targets. Learn the hipfire to take out the chainsaws and scout striders) Strategems: Orbital Laser (Can solo clear even a large outpost. Clear out the targets like Tanks or the laser will burn itself out on the them and not hit the fabs. The factory walker is a complete no-go) Supply Pack (Lets you use the AMR as a primary, with the side benefit of a ton of Nades and Stims) Rocket Turret (As mentioned above can handle large packs and bot drops. Sometimes swap with strafing run)
Especially that last tip is a game changer!

As a bot diver I usually just take a Quasar and a liberator dog for support weapons then a 500kg (Very good if you get the upgrade to get 2 uses before the cooldown) and a orbital laser

Grenade Launcher + Supply Pack can carry you through most levels. For higher levels, bring titan-killers for your other strats. As a general rule though, Recoilless + 3 sentries will do any level just fine
I've put the bugs on the back burner for my entire career in hd2 (it's like 100k bots to 20k bugs) so this is the perfect vid for me.

Gotta say the laz scythe is actually pretty good as well. Especially against the jet brigade since it can easily detonate the jumpacks on the jet troops.
As a bot diver, this video was incredibly helpful as i always find myself struggling against the bugs and despite what most people say i actually dont like the flamethrowers against the bugs because of how close they get to me. My personal favorite build for bugs is the medium medic armor, with the breaker spray and pray, the senator, and incendiary impact grenades. For the stratagems, i tend to bring the 500 kg, the orbital rail cannon strike, the heavy machine gun, and the supply pack.
I personally wouldn't recommend bringing stuff like the orbital railcanon and the 500kg for heavies against the bugs. It's better to use 1 strategem on a support weapon for killing heavies like the Quasar or Recoiless riffle. Then your other strats can be used on swarm killers and a backpack or sentry if you'd like. That makes the bugs easier than relying on long cooldown strategems for heavies that then leave you lacking options for swarms which are very big on difficulty 9 or 10. I'd say the regular eagle is better than the 500kg for bugs. I don't struggle with bugs but my builds are different. My most used Strategems on bugs are eagle airstrike, orbital gas, orbital napalm barrage, rocket sentry, supply pack, jump pack, guard dog and recoiless rifle.
@kenethernandez6246 I get that, I personally enjoy the rail cannon strike as it can oneshot any heavy I'm struggling with, and I just love the 500kg. And the heavy machine gun is a good all rounder, with enough amo it can take out a bile titans due to its heavy armor penetration and then the primary is really just whatever I feel like running. I try to avoid fire with the bugs, other than the grenades for ground cover, as I find i light myself on fire more than I do anything else
@AngrathMinotaur Yeah it all comes down to preference at the end of the day. I also run loadouts that aren't the best at dealing with everything sometimes since it's fun. Was just making a recommendation since you said you had some struggles with bugs and I thought I spotted at least part of the issue.
@kenethernandez6246 I agree that's probably part of the issue, the main reason I'm a bot diver is because I feel like there is more options for loadouts that I can run while bugs it tends to feel like I'm just using the same loadout over and over again and anytime I try switching it up I end up dead
Bugs have zero AP4 enemies making the HMG largely irrelevant against them compared to the MMG, the deeper mag also handles swarms better. Definitely recommend trying out that instead if you like the rambo play style. Senator is also AP4 which is overkill but at least it one taps hunters. I prefer the verdict but that’s personal preference. I hope they un-nerf the HMG to give it back its durable damage, which would make it good again with how many bile spewers can spawn on bug missions.

I just wanted to say at the roughly 20 second mark wher ethe climax of the song hits and the bomb goes off was perfectly timed! And it cought me off guard how well timed it was.
Future Angrath here, as someone who mainly plays against bots due to the variety of weapons that I can use against them, with my favorite being the flamethrowers (contraversal, I know) this video encompasses basically everything I look for when fighting the bots and not trying to burn them to smitherines, also I personally reccomend the fortified passive, the extra explosive resistance has saved me from many rocket devastators and hellbombs that I failed to escape fully
Flame-offs with hulks should be a rite of passage for all bot divers 😂 also I try to time all my transitions justttt right which means I end up taking like a good minute just moving the clip around hahaha
