it's sad that the one tenor is missing all the riffs so you have to include down beat INTO the drum score and then have them hit the rim . YOU WIll get results.

I miss the pipe band world when I'm awake, but when I'm asleep I only ever dream about broken reeds and bad cut-offs and biased judges... Pipe bands are stressful!

Anyway, very nice medley... Well done, imo! I love grade 3s because they play all the good little trad tunes... "Mrs MacLeod of Raasay" is one of my favs; it's one of the most Strathspey-ish of Strathspeys; it reminds me of learning with "Logan's Tutor"... Remember that difficult little red and white book, with Piobaireachd lessons at the end? (Cha til MacCruimmon)... I was fascinated with all the "hiendros, chederes, bandres, hiharrins", etc... I was lucky to learn the Cantairreachd, for sure. (Forgive my spelling; Gaelic is not my first language, lol)

Funny how the sound is different on pavement than it is on grass... I think it sounds better on concrete, actually... I grew up in the WUSPBA, and I've never been to a games where the competition is held on concrete ("exhibition", yes, but I've NEVER been judged on anything other than a huge grassy field with no acoustic value at all, even if it's not very nice grass; sometimes quite uneven, with gopher-holes and rocks and other hazards). I've also been to The World's in Glasgow, three times, and it's always been on grass, even though we were only grade 4... Maybe a bit soggier than Western American grass, but certainly not on pavement.

I DM'd this Corps through town to the stadium field. Simply top notch; their 'Conundrum' march is a great piece of Piping and Drums; all I heard was 'one drone'; they were that tight.

Very nice! (Rough start; messy rolls, early E, but it settled into a nice rendition of 79th's Farewell, drum corps good on strathspey but overpowering the pipes, solid reel, not bad for a small G4) One thing though; I don't like the whole "-and District" names for American bands. What "district"? It's pretentious. We don't have that kind of civil structure here, so why not just call yourselves the "Strathdelawareshire Aberschuylkill-Haggiscrapple Überschottische-duddelsaktroop"? You guys gotta get a bigger district! Or, you could stick a feather in your cap and call it macaroni; it works for the Pakistanis.
