It's hard work

I was fortunate to speak with Frances a few weeks ago. Hoffman Fabrics has a wonderful line called Luxe. There are a few of them that are no longer made, and I looked everywhere for the Cobalt Luxe, and could not find it. I called and messaged dozens of shops around the country , and no one had any. I contacted Hoffman Fabrics and spoke with Frances, and she was able to find one last bolt, with 11 3/4 yards, and I contacted a shop out of Cincinnati, and was able to get the fabric, all thanks to Frances. I am a huge Hoffman fan, and she just hammered home the reason why they are such a great fabric company. Thanks Frances!

Disappointed the pattern does not tell you what size to cut the pieces

Hi Stephanie. I want to thank you so very much for this tutorial. I am making a quilt for my grandson and the dinosaur panel was off by 3.5”. I tried other methods and then followed you step by step and wha la!! It’s square enough to trim only a tidbit off. I am so grateful for your help as I was truly getting discouraged. I know this is an older video but is the best one I’ve seen! I have that exact Santa panel and it’s been in my stash for years because of the squaring. I’m going to actually be able to get that one done now! Thank You 🎉

I just had a light bulb moment! I watched a video by Jamie Whalen (sp?) Anyway, he showed how to put a wonky backing on the longarm. He rolled it back and forth several times until it wasn't wonky anymore. I have tried his method several times and it works every time! Now I understand why it worked because of your explanations. So, now my light bulb moment. I'm going to load my wonky panel onto the longarm and roll it back and forth and if I have to, I will lightly mist with water.

I absolutely love all of my batik fabrics. I love them even more now that I know how many hands have lovingly made the fabric.

This was so fun and educational. Thank you. Does Hoffman fabrics sell online for retail, or to fabric "catalogs" to order from? I live on a rural small island and getting fabric is difficult.
