I'm currently living in Los Angeles for the past 8 years. I've believe this is my transition season to move to Texas. Heyyy, I'm currently in New York and girl I need a change. Really pondering coming to Dallas after a friend of mine told me I should come down there. As you know in New York the market and cost of living is crazy and I can't even get an apartment making way above the minimum wage as a recent college grad. It pushes you to get another degree just to LIVE comfortably. It's insanneeee. My question is how did you navigate moving to Dallas. I just starting watching so I'm not sure if you answer this. I think my big thing is I have no one down there lol. Did it get lonely at times?

Yeah, I’m not really sure when you say that there’s not any good soul food spots or food spots in general because there’s plenty of them in Dallas and Houston not trying to be funny but Baltimore doesn’t really have too many good spots besides places that serve Maryland crabcakes other than that Baltimore area where you originally from doesn’t possess good food spots. In my opinion the south is where it said there’s plenty of barbecue so food Thai, and just overall pizza spots in Texasin general

When you said “dew” for do, I sad she’s definitely from B’more,. Lived all over DC and PG county and went to Howard. Your accent makes me miss the DMV. Good luck!!! From Houston ( although I haven’t lived there in years). You sound like the type of that will do well Dallas is conservative compared to Houston. In Houston they are turned up 7 days a week with after-after clubs. Dallas is more sophisticated and calm. Calm is Good. Houston is like one big HBCU AND ABOUT EATING OUT AND DAY PATIES AND BEACH PARTIES. It can get addicting. You made a good choice, definitely if you’re in corporate , finance and communication. Houston is more like medical, engineering, life sciences, NASA, oil/energy and aerospace. I’m a guy and don’t usually watch these but it caught my eye and I thought about reminiscing. Be safe and prosperous! The food in Houston will do it for you . It’s more diverse. There are 600 black owned restaurants in the Houston area( more like Atlanta)Creole, Soul food, Jamaican , Nigerian, Indian, 17:32 Middle Eastern ,Vietnamese., Latin etc etc. There is excellent black theatre( the Ensemble Theatre)

Everything with the traffic, I agree. As far as food, I felt like it was hard to find. But soul food - believe it or not, I REALLY like Kitchen and Kocktails. It’s too loud in there, but the food was excellent. Jamaican food?! I just found my favorite restaurant but it’s in McKinney. It’s called Jerk Reggae Hut Also in McKinney, if you like Nigerian food, there’s a place called Mabels

Well, the largest ethnic group in Dallas is the Hispanic group. They represent 43% of the Dallas population and Blacks and Whites around 25 and 30 percent give or take. Plus the Hispanics (not all of them) do not like blacks and do not speak English.
