I’m off Vimpat and Zonisamide, praised be. That crap was awful. But I’m still on Lamictal as a precautionary. Haven’t seized in nearly three years, but it’s fine. And thank you lol anyone can be pretty with the right camera angle.

Hey Angie, keep your head up and just make the best of your days (even if sometimes it means doing nothing). That's how I try to face my life. I got frustrated over a dream and I think I'll feel forever lost. 😅 But I like to think that maybe, and only maybe, something good can happen in the future. So that's why I'm kinda waiting. And trying my best to "keep moving forward".
Thank you, Gean! I just roll with the punches, because really, there’s not much else to do. Better than the alternative of feeling sorry for myself and crying, “Why me?” And my dreams get super whack, usually more comical.

Meds. My medications went generic. They’re stupid expensive. So being in my 20s and being thrilled that a medication just went generic just feels out-of-place. But at times, my match is generic. Just foolin’. He rules.

That sounds exactly like me. I can't eat ENOUGH to stop that crap. The double vision I call "cross eye" and "quadruple cross eye". I can't describe it very well but you know exactly what it is. Can barely walk during all that and like you said, hope I don't face plant. My muscles get stiff too, especially in my face. All that lasts an hour or two. It sucks. I had to go back down a dose in the morning recently because it was getting worse. I definitely have to still eat a lot right before I take it, but not quite as much as the other dose. With every dose increase i have to eat more and more and it just isn't possible to do. Let alone with the cross eye and complete unsteadiness. I am over here looking for a job and having those side effects working would be impossible.
Glad someone relates. I don’t get the muscle stiffness, at least not that I’ve noticed, but I take my second dose at night so it’s not a big deal for me. But my goodness, I am so excited to get off this garbage, even though it’s going to be a very long time until I get to that point. I think I had to back off for a bit, too. I almost have to gorge myself in the mornings to make sure that the rest of my day won’t be unproductive. Hope you’re doing well and best of luck.
And you know your situation far better than I, but if you’ve figured out how to manage taking Vimpat without having it cause interruptions, I think you’ll be alright finding a job :) recently, I was on a trip with my family and I told them that breakfast is a must for me and they totally understood, especially my future BIL because he’s a doctor. It’s hard not to feel like a burden because it’s like people have to accommodate for you, but really, no one feels that way because they understand. I hope. So I hope this brings some comfort.

Also, I ain’t no doctor. Should probs talk to somebody if they’re severe. It turns out that Keppra (levetiracetam) can be used for migraines, although my relationship with it was bad for seizures. That doesn’t apply all across the board for everyone, though. See description.
