Thank you so much!!! We use and translate your version in our Community in Bucaramanga, Colombia. My five year old daughter Camila loves your explenations.
Que emocionante! Saludo desde Estados Unidos :) Gracias por mirar. Que Dios bendiga su viaje de educación en el hogar.
Hi, my daughter will turn 6 on December 23, 2024. So i have to file it for next October?
I recommend checking the CA dept. of Education website. www.cde.ca.gov/sp/ps/psainstructions.asp
I filed a PSA but have not heard back except an email that said its been filed. how do i know that its gone through and that im a leagal prive homeschool? id like to get my kids unenrolled from this public school asap. They are on a waiting list for a charter homeschool but since its such a long wait I have to go the PSA route until they come up on the list.

Your signs and explanations are fantastic and I appreciate that you provide meaning for why we are doing certain signs. You are my fave! God bless you!
@deneenchb2391, Ahh you're so sweet. Thank you for taking the time to tell me how helpful the videos are. God bless you and your endeavors in home schooling.
@@WanderStruckFamily you are most welcome! You are a blessing to all of us and I hope people realize and appreciate how much time and effort you put into this to help us. This is my third year tutoring CC and I use your motions/explanations and share with families and my fellow tutors all the time.❤️
Thank you so much for this.
Hi @hellkittyninja7237, You're welcome. I so glad it is helping you and your students.
Do you possibly have the hand motions description printable? I used to have one for CC but can’t find it.
Hi Jennifer, I do not have anything printable, sorry.
I LOVE that you do these videos, wish you would do the timeline again at the end at the correct speed with the hand motions & without the explanation :)
That would have been a great idea! I'm glad they are helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It is so helpful. God bless you!
You're welcome! Thank you for watching and God bless you as well.
I really appreciate you breaking all that down for us new to leaving the public school system. I no longer feel lost. Out of all 3 I will try homeschooling first. Also, I love your suggestions on what to do in the meantime until we need to file in October. My daughter gets bullied often, so she will feel a great relief not returning to public school.
Hi Jazzy, I'm so glad you found my video and it helped. I'm so sorry your daughter is going through bullying. I pray the shift to homeschooling becomes a blessing for the both of you.
Question- Watching the sign language (and I am very excited to be learning this!) do I need to make sure that I match the signer and not accidentally mirror the signs? I catch myself mirroring her, which ironically might be okay since the kids end up mirroring me, lol Sorry if I am overthinking it. Just want to make sure I am accurate- do I need to specify to the kiddos which hand to use or does it matter? Thanks in advance and thanks for these videos!
Hi Grace, Thank you for watching. I'm glad the videos are providing value for you and your class. It is ok if you mirror the signs they will mean the same things. Ultimately, have fun with it, that is why I started signing with the song. I wanted my kids and class to have fun while singing.
A mom ask me if she needs a high school diploma. She wants to homeschool. I was thinking her husband can sign as a teacher assuming he has a diploma/ged
In California, are PE (swim lessons or youth sports) classes covered under the homeschool charter umbrella? Coming from Alaska, we can use our allotment with a charter school to help pay for sports and music lessons along with secular curriculum. Thank you for your video!
Hi @jmcoastie Welcome to CA. Yes you can get music lessons and sports covered under some charter schools. I wish I could give you a blanket yes or no answer, but each charter school has a different written charter, so they will each vary.
Is k-12 a character school?
Hi @shellystephen K-12 is an online public school
I like the all signs of the letter "f" this week. We will use that!! Also appreciate your chatting about what it means vs what it says so we know the proper sign. I have learned so much asl through CC!!!! Love it!
Love that!
My first year doing CC amd tutoring. Your videos have been a blessing. Its so helpful. Thank you so much & have a great summer!❤

this was so helpful tysm. I love ur videos
I'm so glad!
You are awesome! I am so grateful for these. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.
You are so welcome!
Can you file a PSA for technically Pre-K/Kindergarten?
It depends if your state requires it.
Thank you for making these videos! It truly helps me learn and remember to have an explanation behing these signs. I like choosing the signs that help me remember. Thanks so much!
You are so welcome
I wish you would do the set of signs at the end with the music & handmotions but no explanation. Thanks
That would have been a great idea. Maybe in the future.
You are absolutely Not required to do state testing if you're privately homeschooling. I hope you correct this big error in your video.
That is correct, you are not reqiered, but charter schools can and will drop you from enrollment if you do not.
Yes, public Charter schools Do require state testing. In your video, you were talking about private school affidavit (in your words, "option #1") when you said testing is required. That's what I was saying needs to be corrected. Children under a private school affidavit are Not required to do standardized testing.
@@jaykay3839 Gotcha! Thank you for updating. 😊
Here in 2023, using your videos weekly. Thank you!
I love it! I'm so glad that these videos are continuing to help families. I stayed up all night recording these while my kids were in bed so I could have quiet while I was recording. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you!

Glad you’re still here making videos! I found you with the cc timeline asl videos!
Thank you 😊

I love. it😍
This was great. What a great idea. Is the Google calendar an app? Do you use it on your phone or laptop? Just subscribed. Hoping you share more great videos soon. Our oldest is also Ella. I have a channel and right now it’s mainly about homeschooling. It would be fun to be friends and connect here 😊
Rewatching your video and it answered a few of my questions 😊
Hi Chan Family! We would love to connect! I'll check you guys out and subscribe so I can follow along your homeschool journey. The Google calendar can be accessed through an app on your phone or tablet or through Google on a laptop or desktop computer. It will sync across all your devices, which is one of the great things about using it! You can also add people to your calender so they can keep up on events as well.
@@WanderStruckFamily that’s awesome! Can you print it out as well? And thank you so so much as well for following along!
Thanks for these awesome info! Just wanted to ask you are these ok for California?
You're welcome. I'm not sure I fully understand your question. These resources are ok for any one to use. If you are under a charter school in California, they should be fine as well. A charter school typically restricts faith based curriculum. Not to say you can not use faith based curriculum, you just can not turn it in to the school as completed work samples.
@@WanderStruckFamily Thanks!! Sorry for confusion, I thought in California the curriculum has to be California approved (by office of education), or something like that. :)

Thank you 😅
Thanks for this! I appreciate your detailed explanations
My pleasure!
Yeah you got this you do this for cc
Yeah 👍
Yes, this follows the CC time line
We love you 🎉🎉🎉
You've been such a Blessing, this is my first Yr tutoring and your videos have been a great help. Just want to say thanks and God Bless you x
You're so sweet to say so 😊❤ I pray you had a wonderful year tutoring. I'm so glad I could help.
Your videos have been a life saver! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
Yay!
😊❤️
These are so great! This is my first year tutoring and it's been such a blessing to have the signs explained so the kids in my class can better understand them! Can I ask, is the sign you do for massacre the sing for massacre or does it have another meaning?
Yes, it can be used in a different way. Many signs have multiple meanings depending on the context in which they are used.
thank you!!
Thank you so much for all these videos! Any chance you would add the signs that go along with the scripture verses we memorize each cycle?
Great idea! I'll look into it. I'm so glad these are helpful.
It would be better if you ran it all without explaining after you explain
You may find the videos helpful that have the timeline without the explanation. They are available on my channel.
Your videos are so amazingly helpful! Thank-you so much! The Indian forehead mark is called a bindi.
Thankyou! I completely had a brain fart while filming. I'm so glad the videos help.

Thank you for your updated beautiful videos! I have been using your videos for 4 years now and recommending them to our friends! Love the explanations and clarity of signs.
Thanks for sharing!! I really appreciate you taking the time to send some love.
What did I click on? Lol what is this can somone help me out?
These are videos that correspond with a homeschool curriculum.
Hi! I love your videos and use them every week to prepare for tutoring. However, I actually really liked your former model better where you had fewer signs and didn’t explain as much. For me personally, I don’t like to have two or three signs to choose from. I’d rather just have one set of signs and memorize those. Thanks for all the work you put into these as I really do appreciate them
Hi Janna, Thanks for the feed back. If it helps, there are these videos that show just the signs: ruclips.net/video/MXgSVeqxiqc/видео.html There is a video available for weeks 1-12, 13-23, and the full time line song. Hope they help.
Thank you for these! Could you do a quick run through at the beginning of your videos with motions without explaining it? I love the explanation the first time, but to learn them with repetition I think it would be super helpful!!
Hi Andrea, Thank you for your feedback. Have you seen these videos: ruclips.net/video/MXgSVeqxiqc/видео.html There is one available for weeks 1-12, 13-23 & the whole song. Hope that helps.
@@WanderStruckFamily oh thank you!! Really appreciate it!
Hi- I just discovered Compass curriculum- my son has already had an early American history class. Do you think he would be okay starting in Modernity? Or do you need to start with the early American? It looks amazing.
Hi! Great question. Each time period stands alone, so you are fine jumping in with any of them. I hope your son enjoys them. We are on our third year using Compass Classroom for history and my kids still love it!
@@WanderStruckFamily I had been planning to use Visual Latin but I’m getting sucked in, 😂. I’m so tempted to get the membership and do some of the classes myself. For him I’m thinking the Visual Latin, Modernity and possibly the American Lit. Do you have any experience with any of the lit classes? He’s already doing HS Comp through Memoria Press so we are set there or I’d seriously consider the writing courses
@@valleyhavenfamilyschool8951 😂 That is not crazy at all! I love learning alongside my children or from the curriculums they use. A subscription is a great option, especially if you are going to use to many different courses. We have not used the literature classes, but I would love to know what you think if you try them out.
