Scholarship Award Announcements - 2024 Youth Career & College Excellence Summit (August 4, 2024)
Dr. Christie Murray hosted her 4th annual FREE Virtual 2024 Youth Career & College Excellence Summit (YCCES) on August 3-4, 2024, with the support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington’s Center of Transformation. The theme was "Educating, Equipping, and Empowering Young Adults for Excellence.” High school students, college students, and parents heard from leading experts and guest speakers to learn about college planning, college funding, scholarships ROTC programs, apprenticeships, voting, money matters, self-care, and mental health. Some students who attended both days, were awarded scholarships on the second day of the summit.

Braids and wigs were worn back then but not as much.
Box braids were all up and through the 90s. If you think relaxed hair is the standard of elegance, just say that.
