Just a Geezer who enjoys time in the woods and cutting wood. I like the challenge of figuring out how to get the logs
up the hills to the wood yard using only what I have. I have an Outdoor wood Boiler that I use for heat and hot water in the winter.

Id like to do some work like that, what state do you live in? Maybe i can come help out sometime
Thanks, I will holler if I ever need help. Edge of Appalachia!!
@@geezerindawoods Sounds like a plan, I'm actually out that way as of right now
Dark 30 IYKYK 😅
🤠
Good eating to you!
Thank you!
Looks good
Thanks! It was very good
Looking good Geezer. While you were sitting on that log a bus that looked like a senior tour bus went by. You're doing better than those folks. Keep on pulling those trees out!
Thank you. I plan to drop dead during a pull.😇😂
@@geezerindawoods me too Geezer!
Recovery 🙏
Thank you very much 😊
I like that vac jug. Thats handy. I need to change the sawmill oil again. That was a good reminder!
Glad it was helpful! And the jug has saved a lot of grief over the years.
Looking good Geezer!! Keep on eating those snacks
Thank you! Found some new snacks that are awesome...Blueberry mini moon pies! Found at one of the dollar stores! Get some!!
Can’t wait to watch you pull em 🥔
I will make a big effort to remember to film that!! Thanks!!
Glad the dr didn't lie Geezer. Rest up!
Me too. Resting up is hard to do. Thank ya!
I’m trying to figure out if you were transferred to the surgery recovery ward or the PSYCH ward!! Just messin’ with you Roy, glad you’re on the mend! UC is a great hospital, send them a note and tell them your nurse, by name, was fantastic (they need to hear the good with the bad). Keep us in the loop!
Thank you! You know I will
Glad you busted out of the ward & are back home! Take it easy Geezer & hope you're back to cuttin wood soon! ❤️
Me too! Thank you!!🤠
May God bless you and heal you ,pratung for fast recovery 🙏 ✝️
Thank you!
Praying for you, hope you feel better soon! ❤
Thank you so much!
Get well soon ❤
Thank you!
Nice yard sign… just earned new sub PS banana plants look good after few years they become a jungle my neighbor has em.
Thanks and welcome
Glad all is well 😊
Thank you! Me too.
Hey ol friend, ugly is only in the eyes of the beholder right?!! As stated, no one was hurt or injured and that's what counts!! Please keep it that way! Love ya old neighbor!❤️😉
Ugly makes better videos!🤠
Ya move pretty good for being 76,but I do realize you had no other reasonable action. I won't tell! Ha.
I feel moving helps to keep you moving. Even in winter or on all day rains me and dog take our long walk. sometimes twice a day
Hey at least it went the right direction this time lol. As long as it’s firewood and not saw longs and nobody gets hurt a barber chair helps out in the end that’s one less split to have to do manually
😂 Agreed. Out in the woods ugly is not an issue.
Good job Geezer. I brought home another trailer full of big pine logs to mill this morning. Fixing to rain here so they will sit on the trailer for now.
I feel your pain with the pollen my allergies have been awful this year and I take shots for them
Glad to see your anchor tree held this time! I'll be milling some 16 foot pine tomorrow. Lots of heat in that tree Geezer. Good job as always!
Thank you.
take care
Thanks
Plan D for dog. I like that. Good job Geezer. More wood for the fire.
Thanks!
Your luck seems to be about like mine when it comes to pulling over anchor trees lol.
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
@@geezerindawoods that is the story of my life lol
Thanks for the tip
Welcome
I wouldn't try to pull anyone out of a ditch with that D- ring. Looks like it would fly back at you.
No problem, I will be the puller and not the Pullee...
My heat pump went out and I’m looking at replacing it with mini splits. Looks to be fairly easy and straightforward to install and get running.
It was and my Pioneer one was also. Also had a Pioneer at my old place. Only extra you need is a vacuum pump, or get a HVAC guy to do that bit. The come precharged.
Universal with modification necessary. Good job Geezer!
Indeed! Thank you.
Mini Spit? What's that?😜 Anyways, good job sir!! Definitely be nice and cool for sleeping!!😴😴 Enjoy my friend.😉
Thank you.
Glad no one was Hurt, Hindsite is always 20/20 but you gotta get the rope up high to really pull the tree where you want itr, I found this out the hard way Too, I bought a big shot sling shot, it ain't cheap but with a Little practice you cab shoot a line way up high and pull a rope up there, be safe out there, trees will kill you !!
You got it down and didn't get hurt. Us older guys just got to do the best that we can. Hope all goes well with your health issues.
Thank you very much!
It's easier to buck it up when it's off the ground ❤
Indeed🤠
Been there done that Geezer. Some trees are just hard to read. Thankfully you got it down safely ugly or not! Good job.
Down is the goal!Thanks!🤠
With your mule idiling sounded just like a chopper coming in for a dust-off.
Right on!!
I had some fresh caught trout and fresh dug ramps last night I can’t say the taters was fresh that I fried the ramps with but they was good non the less
You know they was!!
It’s on the ground nothing torn up nothing broken and nobody hurt that’s the main thing. A man I worked with years ago always said when a tree leaves the stump it’s out of your hands lol
You and he are both correct I believe!!
I had to pause it to see what the sign said I love it
Thank you.
Love the sign, and the plants.
Thank you.
Good job Geezer. You're going to have plenty of work ahead of you to keep you active.
I hope so!
Very sharp saw. I wonder why the tree had to come down. And what species it is. Cheers from Arizona.
It was nearly dead and could just land on end of house if it fell right. Not sure of the species.
Now the fun part is over and the harp part begins hahahaha
Indeed
What brand of block and tackle setup do you use
I have a variety of snatch blocks. I find them on holiday sales etc. I have no brand loyalty my only requirements are 1. 10 tons or more capacity 2. has a grease fitting. Found the ones without grease fittings do not last for me.
Great job 👍🇺🇸🪵
Thanks 👍
Looking good Geezer. All of the sudden i want some pistachios! Keep on digging those ramps.
Thanks! Will do!
I ordered some ramp seed to sow on my property this fall to see if I have any better luck getting them started growing than I have with trying to transplant them.
Remember ramp seeds can take up to 18 months to sprout. Good luck!!
Youve got some work ahead of you Geezer. Go easy on your back out there!
the back must be worked to return to full function. It will return...LOL
@@geezerindawoods yes it will. You're tough as nails Geezer!
Those two for sure dead ones next to each other can be extra dangerous when cutting on. I had one years ago actually explode on me and got lucky it crumbling away from me. About the size of those two. Be very careful when working them. Good luck and be safe.
What brand boiler do you have the older I get the less I want to keep a wood stove going and a boiler that I don’t have to feed every hour or 2
I have the Hawken Energy model 1100. Got it just before the new obama era regulations that make then more work to maintain. I would recommend finding one before then if you can.
@@geezerindawoods yeah I have been looking for a good used one the new ones from what I can gather are basically useless meaning you have to babysit them like a regular wood stove which is what I’m trying to get away from and are way over priced in my opinion
Agreed
Happy Easter, be safe cutting that tree👍👍
Thanks, you too!
