Im not a business owner but I am that hard worker that may just give my notice soon if I can find another job for the same or more pay. I work 6 days a week and pull many double shifts, I work all holidays and Sundays and am constantly having to pick up the slack for a few other employees that are always late, constantly calling out and don’t do much when they are there. We are a short staffed and have been bought by a corporation back in January from what was a family owned business. Benefits are great and pay is better than ever but I’m exhausted and am now doing the tasks of a management but don’t have the role or the pay. I feel like they are pushing me out the door at this point

Sounds like burnout to me, go easy on em for a few weeks, it costs less than trying to find someone who actually works hard.

Keelin, it could be. In my experience, if the business is growing quickly and they don't have the experience/capacity to match the growth might never recover. Not advocating a business owner terminates anyone. Just pointing our red flags. 👍

I agree problem solving with six sigma or lean is also critical, also including the new supervisor in developing their training plan = ownership in the IDP. Also culture, are they in align with Principles and Mission and will their actions support the Principles of the Company, alot of time needs to be spent coaching and mentoring 1st line leadership, but worth it as they are the face and critical to the operation, toughest job in a mfg plant

Very true, your only as good as your leader above you, the practice continues. 1st line Leadership Training 101 for Teams, Motivation, Conflict Mgt is so very important

I totally agree Corey, but the organization has to realize they are in chaos first, that may take a while
