I first heard this piece when I was only 5 years old and it's still one of my most favourite compositions
ainda vou ouvir isso ao vivo
Very useful to follow the symphony!
I wonder why a lot of movies used this movement for the soundtrack of end of the world moments.
it has a sense of simpleness, which the sudden end of the world would be?
5:20 - 6:09 I wish this had been longer
counter point at its finest
In this part, I imagine Beethoven thinking : in your face Bach

Zubin Meta que merda de apresentacao, pensei que fosse como no met, ou no royal Albert concert hall in London. Ja ouvi muiti melormem mBudapes ou Zegued com uma apresentacao humilde. You stink!

When i was 15,my cat got caught in a combine harvester. This song was playing in my Cat's funeral broadcast on a twitch livestream. Takes me back to the good old 1750's 😥😥😥
ok...my bad, just needed a bit of time to display the bits..
My favorite but why is it blurred?

A haunting and majestic movement...
I love how Beethoven takes such a simple idea and makes it into a masterpiece. I love this movement so much!
Same as in his 5th symphony
First Last and 9th!
Same it's so moving! 😂 He really expresses his sadness in his music!
Going to arco, after all that pizz, feels like a better and more emphatic way to conclude the piece
Beethoven was great at expanding on simple motifs. It's what the majority of his music is built on.
I like it but finale is wrong.
Cosa? È stupendo!!!
What is that clef in the third line?? o_O
Alto clef, for the viola. It's basically just going up 1' step' from the Bass clef
It is a C clef, because the center of the clef symbol indicates the note C. The clef can be moved to different places depending on the range of the voice or instrument. In this case it's technically called Alto clef because of it's placement on the staff.
The last few bars seem a bit odd
Yeah I think so too :/
In the beginning Beethoven created....
2:10 - The greatest part of the entire song!!!
I actually like the little fugue part more.
4:17 called and said WRONG
It's a piece.
Cristian Cruz where is the text?
Agree!!
Last four measures at the ending is arco! ARCO!!!
You would be excellent at music sins
Look up the articles about the disagreement on this matter. A few conductors (both Kleibers, Klemperer, I forget who else) have preferred pizz. here, saying that the marking in the autograph score is not in the composer's hand. I prefer it pizz., just on aural and dramatic grounds, but not having done the research myself, I am not sure how strong the evidence for it is.
Well, thanks for sharing that. It just sounded really weird to me, since it's the only recording I've heard pizzicato this far. If you find out something more, let us know!
Katrina Leigh, only when they are not MY OWN sins!! HAHAHA :/
I would go with Bernstein here who had a really good ear for Beethoven and would certainly not have gone with pizzicato. P stirs things up while this is the coda.
