I think everyone agrees that the Titan fights were the highlight of Frontiers. Shit was dope as a motherfucker.

It feels rushed, I love the Starfall Islands, but only the base, at detail level the islands are fine, beautiful even, but the problem is how poorly mixed is with the gameplay elements, like rails, platforms and stuff that's pretty much scattered all over the view, making it ugly or bland I know the Islands could be more stylized, but the platforming problem doesn't help, Sonic feels disconnected from the enviroment and doesn't interact too much with it

@@laudj_art sigh... no offense but uh here we go again :/ the same BS criticism about sonic doesn't feel connected or belong in this game only because the art style is realism just an excuse to downplay frontiers you see the real issue is that how the rails mostly out of place not the platfroming(for the most part..) in my opinion atleast but saying it makes sonic feel disconnected to the enviroment like...wtf does that mean?? sonic games alwasy had inconsistent aesthetic and diffrent art styles so it's not really suprising they go for the realism art style for frontiers because...they did this thing already with 06! so don't get shocked if they do this again. i just don't think the criticism of ((sonic in sonic frontiers feels disconnected or doesn't belong here)) makes any sense or has any logic behind it!

@@JakeThehedgehog-m1x No, I get it, but I mean that is pretty obvious the platforming was obviously rushed, they even mentioned it they put the scattered platforming over the islands due to backlash from playtesters saying it was boring, so with that, the rails and platforms were made late, they're all generic and it shows, unlike the other games where it feels intentional and have a balance from gameplay and visuals Not saying that the platforming itself is bad, but if they really had time, they would make something more than that, I don't know, actual floating pieces of ruins or anything, instead it's always the same black platforms put in an anti immersive way And please, i'm not saying this game is bad just because of that, it's ok, it shows the potential Sonic has in this new playstyle. I'm just giving my opinion about the game itself and what they revealed, I find it ignorant to say "BS criticism", i'm not saying Sonic doesn't belong in this game, i'm tired of those people as well that look like they will get an heart attack over funny cartoon hedgehog on a realistic world, when Sonic was always surrealistic, and for the context of the game is fine, Sonic CAN blend in this enviroment, it just needs more work from now on to balance things

​​​@@laudj_art I mean I can agree the rails feels out of place and the platforming is out of place too(for the most part) I think when they were playtesting this when one of the play testers said the game has no actual platforming and makes the game so boring and that's why they delayed the game and didn't actually had the time to stylized it and just rush it which explains why the rails feels so out of place and that's a problem in terms of world designing..and the platforming the platform in the sky yeah it does kinda feel out of place except the ones close to towers but I feel it could've done so much better if they actually had the time for the world designing. But... here's a thing about sonic's art style and atheistic as a whole it's always gonna be inconsistent and that's ok... because sonic is just such a flexible character and you can throw him in any situation and he can somehow make it and blend in any environment.. he's just that type of character and why we love him in the first place so there's literally no one definitive sonic art-style because it would kinda just undermining the franchise's legacy so yeah that's why sonic games have inconsistent art styles and aesthetics you can never expect what art style sonic team will aim for the next game next it could be cartoony maybe exaggerated realism or just realism etc but what we know for sure is that sonic isn't a character that should be limited to one art-style we just gotta accept it.

Or worse considering these characterizations and arcs aren’t good.
