Greetings! My name is Lubos Brieda and for many years (since before Facebook), I have been cataloguing my travels and other adventures on my website iamlubos.com. The goal of this channel is to bring some of those old and new stories to life through video. I am originally from Slovakia, but have lived in the USA for my entire adult life, including the last 10 years in Los Angeles, where I live with my wife Sandra, who is originally from Colombia. The videos on this channel will be a mix of vlogs from our travels (including to Bulgaria where my mom retired, Slovakia where I recently bought an apartment, and to Colombia to visit my inlaws) and as well from running as both us are marathoners. Pretty amazing race! I come in at about 0:49. I ran 1:54 which is my new PR and it was such a blast! I’m in the white Adidas pants with the blitz adidas shirt.
Congrats! This was my first time volunteering (although I run this course all the time as my regular weekend run). I am just glad the rain held off until after it was over.
I’m glad it didn’t rain either. Otherwise all of that incline would be a whole other challenge.

I have noticed that apt in bulgaria are for sale for low amounts, but after the purchase the ask for building maintentance fees, that are expensive, have you had problems with that fees

It’s mainly a summer beach resort so many people don’t live there full time.

Around $1,200 a month on AirBnB as of now. However, the season is only about 3 months long.

I do know the area very well I generally cycle around it and go to the shops in that area I like the marina the restaurants on the shops on the good bars unfortunately due to politics the UK has not been able to come to sunny beaches due to the Bulgarian government stopping British holiday makers from visit in Bulgaria using covid-19 as an excuse also everybody in the UK has been a vaccinated at least 2 or 3 times but the government are still objecting to Brits coming to Bulgaria which is not good in their interests financially make small business suffer when the UK cannot come and enjoy the cinema at the Black Sea sunny sunny Bridges

Howdy Dr. RIck! Apparently that's a "game" called Gravity, which is popular with young kids (I guess before they get older and wise up). They get pulled up a big hill behind a truck and then go down hill as fast as they can.

By "it" do you mean French Polynesia or specifically these over-the-water bungalows in Bora Bora? FP is not too bad. Restaurant prices are comparable to what we are used to paying here in Los Angeles, maybe slightly higher. The bungalows can be however quite pricey. They were $930 per night, for two nights. We booked them through Chase Ultimate Rewards and redeemed about 30k in points which reduced the cost to $898 per night. The hotel in Moorea (Fenua Mata'i'oa, ruclips.net/video/jKjZcVIlMhQ/видео.html) was about $300 per night. That was by far our favorite. 2 nights in Bora Bora is IMO more than sufficient unless you are the type of a person who likes to just chill on the beach sunbathing (we are not into that, and I think I would go nuts with boredom had we stayed longer). In that case, Costco has good deals. I know several people who joined Costco specifically to get a deal on a trip to Bora Bora. Anyway, enjoy, and feel free to reach out with more questions.

Key to running CIM well is to ease up on the uphills and be more aggressive on the downhills
Absolutely! Everybody I know who suffered did so because they tried to maintain constant pace, regardless of the terrain.
Did you bring your own floaties or do they have some there to use?

Great vid! Can't wait to run around the island myself one day. So your main recommendation would be to run around the island on any day but Sunday?
Thanks! Yeah I was super excited to try this out, when am I going to have the opportunity to run in Bora Bora again? I suspect that once FP reopens more to tourists there will be more street side shacks selling water. You may also want to carry a hydration pack. I only had a regular 20 oz water bottle in a running belt.
