I need to see this! 😢 i first heard about this play NOW, and now I will never be able to see these two amazing actors do this (i have read the play 😊)
Call me old fashioned but I would rather watch anything else. Beckett leaves me cold. His plays are nonsense made up to be art. Mind you even most art leaves me cold. A cold fish out of water, dull eyed and smelling of its age. Oh, yes I see the good in an actor making the best of a pile of caca and I go weak over a few Twomblys and completely gaga at a good Brett Whitely. But I wonder at the rubbish put up as high achievements against those recognised high achievements of the past. Given money I would fill my house with moderns and stuffs you would not like either , mostly Roman glass, mosaics and greek statues , possibly that Guernica of Picasso's so I am no arbiter of good taste, shrug. Hardly worth the mention, really.
Anybody knows the name of the score??? Soundtrack is amazing 😢
Wish I could remember. Its quite a common track, I can't stand it. Not that it is not lovely, it is. It's just played all the time. Check out Classical FM Internet radio, I may pop up on there along with all the other great stuff. Sorry this hasn't been the best of help and good day to you sir!

@@maricapobianco4354 thank you so much!
I had the pleasure of seeing them perform Godot in London and enjoyed it tremendously. I have always liked the play ever since I first saw it when I was 20 (56 years ago). Since then I have been amazed at the number of people who just cannot see the humour in it. In London, I sat next to someone who never laughed once, and did not return after the interval. Their loss, not mine.
Just this evening I saw the Dutch version. Beforehand, the director came on stage, apologizing and explaining that the theater's freight elevator to bring the truck with the decor and props to stage level had broken down. The theater's mechanics had frantically tried to solve the problem, but alas. All they could get on stage were the tree and Lucky's luggage. The audience were a good sport and enjoyed the play all the same.
the london production with these two was far and away the best play i've ever seen.
I saw that production of No Man's Land in London. I was awesome seeing the Sir's together :)
I'd give a lot to see the Ian McKellen/Patrick Stewart full version, AND the Robin Williams/Steve Martin version! Does anyone know of a source?
I've heard that they have a recording of this play at the New York Public Library, Theater on tape and on film section. You have to make an appointment to see it and you can't record it of course. They set up a viewing and you can see it there only. I'd hope one day it could be released publicly. This is far too precious to be lost or hidden away.

I really want to watch the full video of this show. how can I get it? please...
google bilibili waiting for godot. the quality is not so great though
Is that Capt Pichard?
¿Qué canción es la que suena de fondo, alguien podria decirme???
Oh how I wanted to see this...
Billy Crudup was astounding in this, he made me cry, the whole thing was absolute
I want to hear how they pronounce “calm”
Arindam sir zindabad
Oh dear... The trailer or performance seems to show the themes have been ditched from the play in favour of laughs and gags.
It's got plenty of jokes, Sam liked a laugh
More like waiting for a metro bus to one day show up...
i wish more than anything i could see the full performance!
It can be found on Bilibili
Link?
@@Erik_Ahl I would but RUclips deletes it, last I checked if you search for it by name on that site it was available
@@Erik_Ahl I just checked again, its only available on the Chinese language version of the site but its still there if you search for the title
@@ImpressionismFTW OMG I found it! I think. I found a secret recording of it, but that's much better than nothing! Thank you!
@@Erik_Ahl Yep, thats the one. It at least has the whole show!
One day...💜
How can I see the full play
Its on Bilibili.
Abysmal. Two clapped out old hams scraping the barrel . And yet ; the audience laps it up. ?! Time they re-read : The Emperor's New Clothes .
I am in the infant stages of learning dramaturgy. My mentor and I were discussing this version (he has seen it multiple times, meeting Patrick and Ian.) My feelings are that this version is well done by masters of the art, but it is also a bit over the top. I feel as though the audience is there to see Captain Picard and Gandalf clown onstage instead of a great classic play. It is not the actors fault, they were great, if a bit slappy. The 2001 film, for me, is the perfection of this masterpiece. For all of that…THIS is the play I want to see first when I get to Broadway.
So Xavier and Magneto being friends?

Is the whole play performed by these actors available?
Indeed it is available on Bilibili.
@@ImpressionismFTW could you please paste the link? I can't seem to find it :((
@@shreya4127 If I post the link it gets removed by RUclips unfortunately. Are you searching "Waiting for Godot" on Bilibili? I just searched that yesterday and found the video, it was the second result and titled with Sir Patrick and Sir Ian's names.
Wait...is that some episode of Star Trek that I have never watched? Or some director cut of Lord of the Rings?
I wish I’d been old enough to see Rik Mayall and Ade Edmundson do this.
Who knows what they said in 0:51s ... please help me.
"Que voulez vous ?" French for "What do you want ?"
I saw this in 2009 in Norwich UK Once in a lifetime....2nd row 15 ft from this...omg Amazing
Still waiting for the digital release for us who weren't lucky enough to share the same air as these two legends. . .
The entire production is available on Bilibili if you must see it.
@@ImpressionismFTW thank you brother

ruclips.net/video/j_KV69tVmVk/видео.html Official film adaptation of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, made in cooperation with the Beckett Estate. Set in modern day NYC. Filmed in b&w, on vintage lenses, to replicate an Italian Neo-Realist visual style. Ben Brantley said “I enjoyed watching it!” Broadwayworld.com called it “Dostoevsky on Laughing Gas!” (Winner “Best Cinematography” at Rome Web Awards, Winner “Best Internet Programming” at Global Accolade Awards)
I ONLY watched this bc my drama tescher told me to. ._.
This caused 16 seconds of pure anticipatory excitement..😂
What defines Canadian theatre better than fixation on
My drama teacher just came into our class one day to brag about going to this play when we were learning about absurdism since this play was an absurdist play. Two of the kids spent the rest of the lesson roasting her and calling her a rich kid. She was fine with it since she's super nice. But it was hilarious.
This version is absolutely for shit. Tragi-comedy not Mel’s Brooks comedy.
Does anyone know where you can get a recording of this? Online or off. Thanks!
Six years and still no way to watch it online !
Actually the entire production is on Bilibili, its just not on the English web.
Just like I always say, thank god for the laugh track.
Wish there's somebody out there to put this on internet on these Corona days..
Your wish is granted, on Bilibili. Both acts.
After watching Michael Lindsay-Hogg's production, I simply cannot watch this.
operafreak9 is it good?
@@antoniovasquez9946 For me it is GODOT. They play it straight. This is farce. It is on youtube.
I need this on DVD
Wish I could see the whole play.
Nice to see Charles and Magneto getting along!
