In the current version of MFOR, you need Varia to protect from both heat and cold

On a side note, I had no clue Space Cadet Pinball was that rich with things to do, to be fair the last time I played was in elementary school probably two decades ago. Good video though, liked the good vibes and nostalgic gameplay.

What does diffusion missiles do when you don't have ice missiles. Is it just nothing?
It only freezes enemies if you have it fully charged, if you don't have ice missiles
Speed booster start can either be a fun time Or a very very very painful time
Next major item I got was screw attack in sector 3
Hey I just started watching these, love Metroid randomizer content, but am curious, what is the goal for these randomizers? Is it just to unlock red doors to get to the command center? Do you need charge plasma or something to harm SA-X? What are the most important pickups in each game?
You need to open red doors, which requires gravity and speed, and to beat the SA-X you need missiles, charge, and plasma; the latter two are also needed for Omega
I've played this seed. Jump is on sector 4 for me.

The first suit was pretty, wish it wasn't yellow but at least it wasn't a bad yellow

Did you hear how they wanna make single-wall wall jumping a unique power up? Imagine if they could somehow sync the MARs randomizer with the new upcoming ALIE mod, complex randomizer with a roaming SA-X! Oh man that'd be awesome.

I often palette shuffle beams and suits (and in these early ones, tile sets) to keep things interesting. I also didn't feel comfortable talking for the first several I recorded. I believe it's the seventh Fusion rando when I started doing commentary

looked like that was intended as damage run in sector 6, I wonder how is run would have looked, when didn't visited habitat first. wave beam FTW.
Looking at the spoiler, Varia was the third from last item in the intended progression, so it would've indeed needed a damage run to get to
@@Nellinator23 I think NOC damage runs are far less devastating than ARC, if I remember right each blue X is "only" 30 HP damage each and there are rooms to safely recharge, if really necessary, but with 5 E-tanks you should be fine, except for the 2 extreme rooms.
@@kupferdrachevideosfurdich8733 Blue X *restore* 30 HP each with Varia, but they do 80 damage without. Rooms with six or more can be fatal really easily, especially since they juggle you around when they hurt you. Not so much of a problem going to the Mega Core, but getting out or checking side rooms is very dangerous

Welcome to another edition of SUIT RATINGS ( Were getting prime 4 edition) Power suit: nice crispy dark blue 9/10 Varia: the reverse pesto suit will take it over... the default 8/10 Gravity: it's not the standard green or beige lol very nice 8.5/10 Final suit: eh. It's okay 5/10 2 questions: A. Are you excited for prime 4? And b. I think we've seen every suit possible. So do you want me to keep rating or no?

Love this, I think you should do more of these types of runs. Couple questions though: Would this be set in logic or out of logic? Only ask because what if you got a seed that had a key item behind a wave beam gate (like lower sector 1 and 6). Then it’s lose lose lol. Totally should put on random security hatches too!
Unfortunately, random security hatches isn't a thing in MFOR; once the new randomizer is released to the public, though, I plan to do that. As far as the first point, it'd be a FAFO situation. If it really does end up being a lose-lose, then so be it, haha. Still makes for good content imo
