I’m booked for four days there in January (and four days in Milan before that). I found that month was a great time when I went to Paris last January so there were no crowds. Hopefully that’ll be the case here too.

Sweet mercy, where are you from? You're not American nor brit. You've learned Nothing of OUR monuments. 1st, Jerónimos monastery can only be visited with a GUIDE, you cannot go in as you well please. Its architecture is UNIQUE because it's Gothic Manueline, meaning it was a tribute to the PORTUGUESE navigators, the ornaments are shaped as a rope. King Manuel I had it built, so MANUELINE style. 2nd, Torre de Belém was a FORTRESS against raiders, those canons aren't there as ornaments 🙄 nor as a bloody icon... Padrão dos descobrimentos is recent and it has 13 people in each side, if you payed closed attention you'd notice that the 13 people are the same in each side, on the right the 1st figure is D. Henrique and on the left side the same 13 people are on the reverse order, D. Henrique is the last 🙄. On the floor you have our navigators discoverings and their routes, Magellian 's sea trip is also there. The food is non important. Ahh you have to pay to enter all these monuments, I live in that neighbourhood. Maybe next time you will Lear something and stop talking about the food that is IRRELEVANT.

You can’t enter the acropolis first in the morning just because you want to anymore. All tickets are time slot restricted and the slots before 11 am are often gone because tour groups snatched them up and re-sells them as “skip the line” with additional cost
