The name “KENKA” comes from those Karate-Do practitioners in Japan who, in the 50s, were very often called fighters, precisely KENKA, because in the Oyama dojo (which was not yet called kyokushin) the fighting was called "wild Karate" by the traditional Japanese Karate fighters and their sparring in the dojo was so hard and with few rules that it was called KENKA.
