In my group of friends I believe we have played with the paper maps twice... Because once one of us brought one of those, there is no going back. I have 3 neoprene maps and I am waiting for more maps from the kickstarter. If you play, you end up using the maps, and they will make the games look good, probably the best Battletech related thing Catalyst has ever made in my opinion.

Dude I stopped playing 9th/10th I am re learning the janky 7th Ed and I am remembering why I loved this game. It was the unique janky rules that each army had that made it felt good to play. Now it feels like we are playing expensive Risk

I think i agree on most of these points. It does feel like we're getting screwed out of what made orks special. Dakka is less impressive, and its thematically one of their mainstays. They shouldn't be very accurate, but they should shoot more to make up for it. An ork MBT is definitely a necessity. As a major conversion guy, half my army is scratch built so I'd even be fine with them doing the old thing and publishing some rules without bothering with the model. I think its criminal that we get monopose options only. No two ork armies should look the same.

One of the things that has disappointed me about the orks in recent times is that they lost their "Looted" flavour, like they used to be able to loot another faction's tanks and gear. It really leant into their looting and shooting flavour

I have some similar ones with larger tupperware type boxes that fit in, but I use this one or something almost the same to store my Twilight Imperium pieces in by color, faction, etc. I probable just need more of these with all the bits I have on hand hahaha, great review
