Y’all are gonna drag me for sounding like I’m gatekeeping, but it personally annoys me to no end when it seems like some people in the crowd only show up for the one singular popular song they know. I know that isn’t always the case and that there’s probably much more nuance that I’m missing, but I’ve seen too many times at different artists’ concerts the crowd will boo or be mostly dead for other song performances until the popular one starts up. Don’t get me wrong, I already know everyone will get hype for the popular one. I get it, but the other songs are bangers too guys. And what’s crazy to me is sometimes the super popular song isn’t even always the best one objectively, it’s just the one that blew up. These are just my ramblings of my personal pet peeves, take them with a grain of salt. 🙄🤔😂 *_*Edit/disclaimer:*_* Sorry for the confusion and gatekeeping tone. I’m not necessarily talking about people who simply like the song, those aren’t really the ones I have in mind while I’m making these statements. I’m mainly referring to the toxic concert-goers with poor etiquette that do things like throw objects on stage and disrupt everyone else’s enjoyment if they aren’t having fun or getting their way. Not trying to sound like a Debby-downer if that’s the way I come across, I just want to hold those specific people accountable for being menaces. Again, these are just my personal opinions that I have a right to share the same as everyone else; it is alright if we disagree.
