pinless payment in cards make no sense. Lose your card and people will start using it. it makes more sense using nfc on a phone since it requires you to unlock it before using it. Still I think qr is better because it doesn't require a phone to have an nfc chip which increases the cost of the phone.

QR Code is primarily for UPI,,,, However can be used for wallet and other payments based on QR Code. NFC is for payments when Internet is over crowded or there is no internet. It is for wallet to wallet only and not for UPI.. NFC has very low cash transfer limit. Like Metro charge. It does not reflect in bank account of receiver unless set brought in live Internet location.

I have around 100 card readers for my business. If all my customers would use cash I could save $52k a year in processing fees and access fees. In turn this could mean better pricing for customers.

in India I use NFC payment cred tap and pay when I get to use pos itherwise qr code pay is very widely accepted everywhere from big and small businesses..
