Thankful for his recording and the images! One just sits behind one's computerchen, having it easy, whereas the folks in the concert hall experienced a once in a lifetime event for good money, presumably. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought Gould was on acid during his recordings, bringing so much intensity to the music. He traveled to places that no other human had traveled before and showed us vistas that we would have not seen otherwise

This is amazing - - he can play at high speed but with clarity, beauty and emotion. Impressive.
