This. This video right here has been my saving grace! After watching the DragonFrame tutorials on motion control, I was very concerned I had purchased a very expensive toe-stubber. As an absolute amateur, I couldn't quite understand how to apply the information from those videos to the slider. Then, this video was released (queue heavenly music)! Boom! Plain-as-day instructions! Thank you, thank you for this! My slider has gone from a coat rack to an indispensable tool that I don't know how I ever lived without! 🎉
Products are great, but I hope you can find a way to ship to America for much cheaper.
Do you think you're going to release a product like this? I guess it's just a prototype for now, but since the jib arm is not available anymore it would be a fantastic alternative....

Looks like what I am looking for. Too bad, there is nobody I know who has worked with it, and I can't find any detailed explanation of the setup with the gimbal and camera. I would like to test it or see it in action before deciding to buy it. I believe this has a lot of potential, but there should be more unboxing/setup/testing videos available.

Just received mine and it works really well ! This wirecam is stable and smooth. For making myself my own camera motion control interfaces with Nema or brushless motors and arduino, I must admit that Noxon did a real good job. And their support is fast and precise. Thank you.

QUESTIONS; 1. What size is the rope? Is it 6mm or 8mm? 2. are you using Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene like Samsteel rope? Wish it was able to place anchor points on each ends of the slider so that two tripods can support the weight and prevent a banana effect.
Two more kilograms of payload, anchor points at each end, use of mini v-mount battery or NPF batteries, usb-c for controller would make a version II perfect.
Hello 👋@@reishimo6390 The Mod Slider's tripod anchor points are movable, so by adding an extra anchor point to your order, you will have anchor points on each end and will be able to place the slider on 2 tripods. We can do a customization for V-lock batteries. The controller is wireless. Can you tell me why would you want a USB-c for the controller?

Is it possible to place an anchor point at the very end (underneath the motor module)? USB-C is faster charging and just looks more sophisticated. Hello @@reishimo6390 👋 No the anchor point won't be directly under the motor, but close enough so you can have a stable slider. our controller is fully charged in 90 minutes using our USB port. The power supply for the slider connects using a 3.5mm DC connector, not the USB port.

This looks to be very very interesting. one thing that I'm curious about.. is it for animation purposes only? I remember emailing you a couple of years ago asking if you're going to do your own version of the edelkrone jib one... can your jib be used for live video application and the how does it fare with jitteriness... and shaking... using 80 mm lenses or other close-up Lenses. Does it introduce micro Shake while moving? Would love to see real-live footage❤

@@NoxonCameraMotionSystems yeah I can imagine the Jib Arm could actually replace the slider. I am currently in development making a short series based in a fantasy world with hand and rod puppets as characters with green screened backgrounds. Something like this Jib would be an incredible tool to get some awesome camera moves. Unfortunately not enough in my budget to get one so I’m gonna have to stick with the slider for now. Do you have a more in-depth video demonstrating it? If not I would definitely do a review video for you on my other channel in exchange for one because I know your products are great quality and your support was excellent 👍 Anyway either way I wish you all the best with this new Product 👍😁
Hello @@gamedesign1 no, the Jib-arm won't replace the Mod Slider. Each can be used in different situations and a slider can offer a lot to a filmmaker. We have more footage that will be released with the passage of time.
