Todays the day! I can’t believe i finally got a heart ablation. So many unknown questions were on my mind leading up to this procedure. There were things that my doctor could not tell me until I went in for this ablation. I’m so happy I have this video to look back on and show to anyone that has heart palpitations. This journey started three years ago for me and I haven’t given up hope. Thanks ...

Hi. Thank you for your video. I'm from Hamburg / Germany and I've had it for 30 years. Currently it's so bad that it ruins my life and gives me panic attacks and anxiety. An ablation would totally help me. Yes, I'm afraid of it, but I'm even more afraid of having to live with it

You`re lucky you narrowed it down to diet. I thinkwhat causes mine is stress. I use Xylotol instead of sugar with a little cinnamon,Quit alcohol, Walk 3 miles a day ,I take Matropilol 25mg. and still get palpatations.I`m planning to eat more often and small meals. I refuse blood thinners and use baby aspirin. I feel so much better when I take the aspirin. I WILL NOT DO THE ABLATION.

I was diagnosed with Afib, Aflutter, pause and murmur, this cardiologist pushed an ablation, the person that does the procedure said he doesn’t agree with the cardiologist, later he did agree after I told the cardiologist that he didn’t agree, I dropped them both. Currently I am adding a few foods to my diet and the pause is the only effect I notice😎

@@ANCministries yes I’m on meds cause I have high blood pressure. My pulse was normal before would flux from 82 beats up to 145 but after ablation pulse mostly stays 62-78 beats but my blood pressure went up from 125/78 to 165/95 it’s taken 7-8 weeks blood pressure dropped to 145/88 but they increased a medication that lowers my heart rate makes me more tired relaxed Metoprolol succinate 50mg

All I can say ( ive said my story in your other comments section when you spoke of your hope for ablation ), is my cardiologist wants the biggest and most painful kick in the balls By each and every person he has let suffer with arrhythmias, ectopics, SVT, PACS, PVCs… I think my postman would make a better EP, at least he listens.

Im going to have an ablation, and the surgeon says, that my prognosis is good. The result, depends primarily on that I use my Cpap for my sleep apnea. If i dont, the extrasystoles will return, and I will not profit from the Ablation. Think thats important for everyone,to know.❤️ Half af all heart patiens have undiscovered and untreated OSA.

Hi Jenna ...I feel your pain because I have also have alot of palps , but as late ..actually more than usual. I have had them since I was in my 30s, now in my 60s and they told me at that time they were pvcs, skipped beats, and benign, to basically live with them. After awhile they turned into afib and I am on metroprolol 25 mg twice a day. When I get an attack, I throw water on my face or bear down like I'm having a bowel movement. That seems to always work well. I went to see a heart specialist a couple of years ago because my family dr also mentioned ablation because I was bugging him so much. When I was waiting to see the dr, I talked to a woman who had 3 heart ablations and she was still having afib and palps. That pretty much did it for me as for getting one of them. With my luck, I'm sure they would return. Reading what the ICU nurse said below confirms what that lady said. I know lack of sleep sometimes puts my heart into afib and I also heard low in potassium and magnesium can do it also. I just found this out recently. When I get the afib, my heart can run up to 150 to 180. It's very scary and unless you went thru it, no one really knows what you feel. I used to call myself "queen of the skipped beats" lol. Please post another video and let us know how your doing. When you were talking, I felt like it was me except that now I get them more than usual. I wish that I could get another heart monitor put on me but since I had so many, they feel that I'm wasting their time because they know what it is...except now, they are so many that I feel that it has to be something more and different. Wish me luck !!

Hello, thought I'd add my experiences here. I had tachycardia bouts since my early teens. They would be triggered by excercise or physical exertion. In early 20's, alcohol or pot use would trigger them. I stopped smoking but became alcoholic and they got so bad I was in and out of hospital. At 32, I was diagnosed with WPW Syndrome and went through 4 ablation over 3 years before the tachycardia was finally cured. BUT, ever since the first ablation, I started getting PACs, or skipped beats. I've been put on a dozen and half different meds in 20 years and none of them worked well. I've tried every tip mentioned in these comments and then some... with varying degrees of success. Potassium and Magnesium are the 2 biggest factors with me, so I have to make sure I get enough in my diet. I quit drinking alcohol, caffeine long ago. I tried many fad diets. Nothing has produced long term results. Cardiologists have been little help... they only put me through expensive tests and tell me I'm fine and I have to live with them. Now I'm in my 50's and I suffer with non-stop PAC spells for hours and days on end. I'll average 20 to 30 thousand skipped beats a day on my worst days, and it is utterly debilitating. No amount of positive thinking and de-stressing helps. Gastric issues are my worst trigger, but all trips to GI docs and scopes reveal nothing. I am at my wit's end, my life has been ruined with bankruptcy over medical bills (can't get insurance), divorce from wife who thought I was "making it all up", and struggling to work as a mechanic to pay bills so I don't end up on the streets. I can sympathize with the rest of you and your suffering for sure. It hurts me to see so many young people get problems like this and have to face their whole life ahead with so much uncertainty. I pray for all of you, that you find a resolution to your heart problems. Ablation works in many situations, but not all. Especially for Tachycardia or A-Fib, and not really for PAC's. I'm at the end of my life and I still find the strength and desire to fight them. I am always trying something new, I haven't buckled yet. Once in a glorious while I get a couple days or weeks symptom free and it is the greatest time of my life... those are the moments I still live and fight for. Stay strong to spite your heart's problems and find a place in life to be a good influence on someone else... however you can. Good luck on your journey and I pray for everyone here.

Hi Jenna - I've just started getting serious palpitations, and have been trying to learn as much as I can from my doctors and from cardiologists here on YT. Your videos have been really helpful to provide context from a patient's perspective. Wanted to let you know that you being so open and transparent about your journey is really valuable to someone like me who's trying to figure out what this condition might mean for me, and that unfortunately there are no silver bullets. I hope you're well. Thank you.

I've suffered with persistent arrhythmia for over 40 years. 4 ablations have left me with bouts of nonstop pac's that last for days. I did all the dietary changes and all the dos and donts imaginable, but I still suffer. I understand the feelings of frustration and futility quite well. I have found that digestive issues and anxiety trigger mine the most. So, every day is doing what I can in these areas to reduce my attacks. Working a full time job with a high level of physical and emotional stress doesn't help and I have to fight back the urge to quit work and become homeless every day. I do get the occasional break that lasts a week or two and that's the only moments of my life when I feel like I can truly enjoy life. What a terrible way to live, but I cope knowing that I'm not going to drop dead of a heart attack and I have Jesus to help me through. Good luck with your situation and God bless!

Have you had a referral? You sound so stressed out which doesn't help AF, I understand exactly how you feel it is so scary and draining, but you have to get a doctor to refere you to a good cardiologist, if you have AF then you'll need to see a electrocardiogist with this percific problem, im post ablation 3 years now 😊 to pay for an ablation in Ireland could cost between 30 to 32, 000 a lot of money. I hope you get sorted x

@@dolorescoady3606 thank you….. I cry all day. They are referring me but……. Xx Update.. I had a consultation via phone.. he said going by my ECG of 2019 he doesn’t think he can do much but since buying a KARDIA i have sent him every attack, every palpitation fit.. ive plagued him. How can someone possibly make a decision like that from an old ECG and a quick phone call..??? He has no idea the mental stress and QOL i have not had since i dont know when. He may have done years at med school but general common sense is zero. I have another phone call this week..
