Best track of the year so far I really liked it.
I had a blast. Fast and flowy with a few technical spots. Just right!

So far I've had no issues. I love the bike, it's awesome on technical stuff

It was one of the more difficult XC races I've done. I've raced muddier, but for some reason I really struggled on this one

I wanted to pull off so bad, but wanted to hit the moto track, then just figured I might as well try another lap. Man it was a mistake haha
This was my first race and I looped out twice on that first hill all nerves. Race was a bogger!
This would have been a gnarly first race! How'd you end up liking it? Are you planning to go to rd2?
I have watched and studied your race film preparing for this race this past weekend, 29 years old never raced and decided I wanted to try it because my best friend does it and enjoys it. That was the roughest 1st race for anyone I could ever imagine lol! But I got through it because of motivation watching riders like you. I wanted to find you and shake your hand because your videos are great and i've learned so much from them! Maybe we can find each other at the next race at Izzak Walton, I'll be running the Trail Rider's class again until I can find more speed and consistency. Thanks again for the videos, they teach old dogs new tricks like me lol!

@@norellie1007 I got stuck in one of the real steep drops where it had peanut butter mud in the bottom lol after helping get 6 other bikes out it was less than 15 minutes from the race being over. 1 lap for me but I feel much much more confident going to izzak walton!

1st lap was the worst! shaped up to be a little better by lap 2 and 3 but not much haha!
I got really lucky with lines on lap 1. Lap 2 was okay, lap 3 was a struggle-fest for me. I was absolutely smoked

how many riders in vet c? i just got my first bike in about 15 years, id say thats probably where i belong
It seems to depend on the round, but I would guess it averages between 10-15 riders in Vet-C. Some races there are 7-9, some there are close to 20
U on your woods bike?
Yep! It's a 250xc. Only had the one bike, I finally got a bike a little better suited to tracks
@@norellie1007 i had my suspension done by estes for woods, wonder how it would hold up on some fair tracks
@@BetaRacer24 I'm sure it would be just fine, not a lot of huge jumps at most fair races

I'm planning a trip soon on my 2 stroke bicycle, only place I can ride around here.
I haven't been on the bike in a couple of months, but as soon as the ground dries a bit I'm eager to get back at it. Always happy to have people to ride with!
WOW!!! You fellas found paradise right there!!!! I was hooked from minute #1! First thing I noticed...yes, terrain changes, but, how well you all ride as a group! Give each other space and time to clear each obstacle before the next rider attempts. Not every group does that, and so much more fun when we can be cohesive like that. Second, GREAT save on the first bridge!!!
Sorry for the late reply! I love riding this place, they have a little bit of everything. I was happy to be able to ride with these guys for the day. Every one of them are better riders than I am, but they were super cool and nice about it. And yeah, that bridge about bit me haha
I wish I could have raced that day but i was breaking in my new bike No more with the old Honda 250x she blew up, but it alright Ima rebuild it and sell it i posted a vid of my new bike riding it at the red fox you can check it out if you want!

a few really tight spots but over all I thought it was a good track.
I thought it was a good one. There were some tight areas but I thought for the most part it flowed pretty well
I whiskeyed myself so hard into some trees. And bashed my head on one of then overhangs. Did better than the last race tho!
Hope you and the machine are okay. I had a few close calls for sure, but I really enjoyed this one

@@ashh2748 only did 2 laps on the last one. Took 45 minutes for a lap, out of shape bad. This time i only stopped to let fast guys by and always kept moving. The tree wreck happened on lap 1. So bike did fine for another two laps. I suck, but its a blast.
@@BetaRacer24 oh Jezz, that is pretty bad. I definitely did worse here than at eby because it was so tight. Sorry to hear about your radiator. Better luck next season 👍

You: Oh man I'm really sorry to hear that. What happened? Me: there was this one tree that curved in and the was a tree on the other side of it my pegs hit that tree along with my foot and it smashed my foot with the bike and tree i was down for 8 mins with everyone around me and after it the guy told me i can stop riding or keep going and i kept going but im in a boot now i can still ride just carfully im probablly going to be healed up for next race but other wise i loved the track i have never done a motocross tracked and it was awsome

you either need to move up a class or start blasting these dudes out of the way. Quit being so nice.
Not going to move up because I'm not fast enough, and I'm not going to blast dudes off the trail because it's a Vet C xc race. Everybody there has the same right to be there, I feel like if you can't pass safely it's because you're not skilled enough. That's where I'm at, so I'll just keep working on reading lines and hopefully I'll improve soon

Did you get lost any? The darting trails all over and people kept taking out the tape. I got lost on the 1st lap with a couple of other guys and we had to redo a large portion of it, then the second lap I was by myself and made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up cutting the track and got penalized an entire lap from it. I went from 3rd to 9th it kinda sucks.
I only really raced 1 lap, so I didn't have a lot of opportunity to get lost, but even still it almost got me a few times. There was a point on lap one where I thought it was an option line, only to realize it was taking me up a hill away from the race haha. I'm sorry to hear about your penalty, that is a bummer. I can definitely see how it could happen on that course
@@norellie1007 yea I understand where their coming from on the rules but I got screwed the first lap and pretty much made up the time I lost on the second lap, even though it was by accident. I was hoping they could maybe only penalize me like 5 minutes or so which would still bring me down a couple spots. Oh well nothing I can do about it now, it was a super fun track though I just wish they had more markers.
