They Sowed With Tears, but Reaped With Joy The Israelites were happy when they were freed from Babylon to restore pure worship (Ps 126:1-3) Those who returned to Judea may have wept because of the considerable effort involved (Ps 126:5; w04 6/1 16 ¶10) The people persisted and were blessed (Ps 126:6; w21.11 24 ¶17; w01 7/15 18-19 ¶13-14; see picture) FOR MEDITATION: After we are delivered from ...

Spiritual Gems Ps 124:2-5-Can we expect Jehovah to protect us physically as he did the nation of Israel? Consider, first, the matter of physical protection. As Jehovah’s worshippers, we can expect such protection as a group. Otherwise, we would be easy prey for Satan. Think about this: Satan, “the ruler of this world,” would like nothing more than to eliminate true worship. (John 12:31; Revela...

Congregation Bible Study “Reasoning Persuasively About the Kingdom” (Acts 18:23; 19:1-10) 8. By what route did Paul return to Ephesus, and why? 8 Paul had promised to return to Ephesus, and he kept his word. a (Acts 18:20, 21) Note, though, how he returned. We last saw him in Antioch, Syria. To reach Ephesus, he could have made the short trip to Seleucia, boarded a ship, and sailed directly to ...

Spiritual Gems In harmony with this verse, of what must we be convinced? As servants of Jehovah, we are convinced that he is “the God of truth” and that he always wants what is best for us. (Ps. 31:5; Isa. 48:17) We know that we can trust what we read in the Bible-that “the very essence of [God’s] word is truth.” b (Read Psalm 119:160.) We agree with what one Bible scholar wrote: “There is no ...

Are JW Christians or a corporation? I know watchtower is a company using the bible as charity code for free Satan's money. what about JW? Blindly following and allowing themselves to be indoctrinated by corporate men? Its sad these guys dont see Jesus as the way or whom salvation belongs to , but to obey cult men.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Thank you very much
You're very welcome! It’s always a pleasure to share and discuss. May Jehovah bless you abundantly!
Thank you so much my brother

2. Who are among the “gifts in men” referred to at Ephesians 4:7, 8? The authors write: "that after Jesus ascended to heaven, “he gave gifts in men.” (Read Ephesians 4:7, 8.) Paul explained that Jesus gave these gifts in order to support the congregation in various ways... ." It should be noted that the entire article is based on a distorted translation of Ephesians 4:8, in the NWT version. *Why distorted?* Because in the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and in other translations of the Bible, Ephesians 4:8 is translated differently and sounds like this: "When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, *and gave gifts unto men."* (King James, American Standard, Biblia Lenguaje Básico, DHHE, DHHED, Reina Valera 2020, Traducción Interconfesional, ARM, Almeida Revista e Atualizada, Almeida Revista e Corrigida, Biblia Livre Para Todos, etc, etc) In Ephesians 4:8, the Apostle Paul quotes Psalm 68:18 which reads as follows: "Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: Thou hast *received gifts for men;* Yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord GOD might dwell among them." (KJ) And this is exactly the meaning this Psalm sounds in the Torah (Tehilim 68:19), from which it is clear that Jesus, having risen, *received gifts from his Father for people* and distributed them to Christians *with the help of the holy spirit.* And if this meaning is embedded in the original source, then Ephesians 4:8 should NOT be about gifts in the form of shepherds, *but about gifts FOR brothers,* helping them to be good shepherds. And what are these gifts? *The context of Chapter 8 indicates exactly which spiritual gifts Jesus gave to people - apostolic, teaching, prophetic, etc. (Ephesians 4:8,11) Someone was given the gift of prophesying, someone of teaching, .... and someone else the gift of mercy, etc. Whoever received what gift serves Jehovah. And this is consistent with Romans 12:6-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:4,7-11 (read). BUT the Governing Body today distorts Ephesus 4:8 and translates it as "he gave gifts in men". The Governing Body also distorts Psalm 68:19 (68:18 NWT) and translates it as follows: "You took gifts in the form of men..." It seems that the translation: "You took gifts in the form of men..." in NWT was made specifically to support the teaching of the Governing Body about elders as gifts in the form of people who are entitled to SPECIAL honor (I would like to remind the brothers from the Governing Body of the text of Rev. 22:19 and Mat. 24:48-51, the understanding of which they distort, also) The distorted translation changes the meaning and shifts the focus of attention from Jehovah to the status of the one who is appointed "as a gift" (fulfillment of prophecy 2 Thess.2:2-4). This is not the only place in NWT where there are distortions that the Governing Body is in no hurry to correct. Distortions and errors are noted in the following texts: Lev.8:15; 1 Samuel 18:27; 1 Chronicles 13:11; Joshua 23:14 and 1:8; Jeremiah 20:17; Ezekiel 28:16; Dan.9:27; Proverbs 14:17 and 20:27; Mt.25:46; Lk.21:36 and 22:17; 1 John 3:20,21; 1 Thess.4:16,17 and 5:4; 1 Tim.4:16; Col. 1:16; 2 Cor.5:21; Rev. 16:7 etc, etc...
