Team Fortrex 2 - A matrix parody [SFM]
Ever wonder what happens if you take both pills from the Matrix? Here is my very "serious" take.
God i hate having to fix audio for these animations, i play it with headphones on, i can hear everything just fine, i take them off, you can barely hear the music and the ambience, so i had to bump it up enough until the volume of the ambiance isn't silent without headphones and not too loud with headphones.

Here is an animation about mercs being suddenly ambushed by an army of zombies! I started working on this SFM in October, and it was planned as a short 30-40s clip, but I decided to expand on it (that's why there is Merasmus and a carved pumpkin in the clip). This took longer than it should've been, and there were a lot of bugs I encountered while making it, like the die regime-panzerung cosmet...

I recommend you watch the video at least at 720p :) You may ask yourself why does the fire extinguisher shoot fire and not CO2 or water, that's because that's not even a fire extinguisher that's a FIRE STARTER produced by Mann Co. In this sfm I tried to just mostly focus on my animating skill and observe it through this joke animation. I was waiting for 15.ai to get back up so i could make an animation with the generated voices but it took longer than i thought so i made this instead, so um... yeah here it is

Hey Soldier Unit 69, I wanted to say that your SFM style looks very cartoony and almost S2FM style like! especially on 0:35, or 2:15 or.. man everywhere in your animation! Those models look sooooo nice and clean. How did you do it, I wonder. Any specific commands, do you use different map_picmip or mat_phong? Or is it just something simple, like the way you light or your camera settings? I would really like to know.. 😅
I didn't really use any specific commands that changed the look of the project; i mostly use just simple stuff: For my camera i just play around with the field of view, focal distance and aperture. I like to bump in a few shots the aperture pretty high, so i get that separation between the background and the characters in the frame. As for the lighting, i use the basic 3-point lighting technique for most scenes, but in some shots i use a specific type of rim light from this tutorial ruclips.net/video/S4TX3yGhxrQ/видео.html by Alta, this is mostly for more static shots were the characters don't move that much. My render settings are basic with the motion blur disabled. After i export my animation, i like to color grade it in a video editor like Davinci Resolve. I hope that I helped somehow! :)

OK, since i got way more attention than usual on my last video, I thought of making this quick short animation as a thank you. BTW, I am planning to release part 2 of Sudden Uprising since a lot of people liked it. It may take a while.

Sadly, no demo and pyro. Animating all 9 classes would've taken much longer, and for the last scenes it would've been a bit too big of a crowd of people.
