definitely a grasping for straws moment. whole set felt kinda bad in the moment. but then became a polarizing video with a clickbait title.
@@RobbieSchroederComedy Yeah, what drew me here was that I'm currently binging bombs after seeing some real horrible shit from Kill Tony bomb-compilations. So I might just be a bit pissy from the clickbait actually. To give some actual constructive feedback. This type of comedy can be real funny, but I think it might be one of the hardest styles to master. I think for many who enjoys this, the key part is (as I already alluded to) keeping the audience in the dark whether or not the person on the stage is doing a bit or really just super awkward/weird. I think it's okay to transition into a performance so absurd that everyone with half a brain is close to 100% percent sure it's an act (like with the dated, but funny, Kaufman), but it should probably be a slow transition during a set (ideally longer than this - 3 minutes). I realise this might be hard when you're new to the game, because you'll probably only get 3-minute ish spots on open mics, but you'll figure it out. Like fucking around with the stool/akward sitting position/lying on the stage. I liked this part of the bit, because it supports the overall of the awkward character, but the "absurdity" needs to be in a chronological order of insanity. Perhaps start out by moving the stool to a weird spot/tipping it over or something like that right of the bat, but nothing too crazy. Then later on, take up that super uncomfy sitting style while doing a verbal bit. THEN, lie down - because that's one of the most absurd part of this gag (while still being in the realm of realistic behaviour). By lying down first, it's almost as if you're telling the punchline before the set-up. Sorry, this is too wordy, but I hope this can be of some value for you regardless :) I'll check out your other stuff in the future. Good luck on your comedy endeavours!

@@mikem8169 yeah some tones have underlying similarities with one another… I’m torn between how much I’m wasting my time on these. Also what I end up settling on.. I think I went through 100 different songs on this one. And there are three submissions I almost chose.. I was exploring a musical genre.. but they weren’t quite right. So I reverted to the pop style I usually do.
