Satan's Little Helper- Radd Movie Review
Yeah, I think when it comes to collectors, I think the main reason why people don’t jump to 4K is the cost. However, to me, most new DVD releases cost 20 bucks, maybe even 15, and a lot of 4Ks are 25 bucks. 10 bucks isn’t much of a difference. However, 4K players usually aren’t cheap, and then not every movie has a 4K; some don’t even have a Blu-ray. I think DVD is just the go-to format because everyone is familiar with it. I do think many don’t know the upgrades to 4K vs. a DVD. Then there's always someone that just doesn’t care about quality and will just watch the DVD. Plus, DVDs are really accessible.
I need to have ya on the channel my man to collab. On some physical media maybe do a fun live hangout talking our favorite releases from DVD's, bkuray & 4k's. You speak the truth many people DVD'S is just the standard that's the norm. So it's the go to. Collector's like us are becoming more niche
@ You know where to contact me if you want to team up sir. Yeah it’s definitely becoming more niche. I will say Amazon has been pretty reliable but, not always though.
Awesome intro & first episode bro. I’ve never seen Mute Witness but you’ve 100% sold me on it ❤
I cant wait to see it pop up on your Letterbxd 👍
Mute Witness is such a hidden gem!
@alydematti Right, I fell in love with this movie after I watched it. Since then I have seen it like 5 more times
Massive congrats on 600 subs brotha!! Absolutely well deserved and it’s gotta be 1000k subs soon, very underrated channel 🙂
@DidYouZThat Thanks so much bro. Definitely need to try and work on this Wifi though. It's awful
I love your whistling shirt.Your butt cool , you know what I mean😊
Ooo such a cool concept for the series. Looking forward to more. I haven’t seen Mute Witness so I’m gonna check it out ASAP
@@PolterGuySteve It is in the same vein as a film like Blow Out by De Palma but with a raunchy horror flavor
I don’t have a 4K player so I just stick with Blu Ray. I use stay away from DVD’s but I still buy them because they are cheaper.
Yeah it's not a must to jump to 4k. But if you ever are interested in the future there are budget options for players now. Panasonic makes a 4k player for under 200
this was awesome. I just got my first 4k player and I’m trying to keep an eye on what folks are saying are the best transfers. especially older films
@@ThemboCinema Im glad I can drop some cool suggestions for you. And enjoy your journey into 4k 👍
Cool to hear about some of your favorite 4K transfers bro. I think it’s always interesting for people who don’t know the difference too 🙂
@DidYouZThat Yeah been really diving into my 4k's recently so thought I would squeeze a video outta of it
Great picks! Some other great ones were Mia Goth in MaXXXine, Alisha Weir in Abigail, and Willa Fitzgerald in Strange Darling. 🙂
Amazing picks. I still need to see Strange Darling i heard great things
Excellent collection, dude! You rock! 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🥁🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
This collection rocks, homie! Loved seeing the Giallo boxsets and DVDs. 🤘📀🤘
@anthonyshorrorandmore Gotta support my Italian filmmakers 😁. Yeah DVD's are still so awesome. Some of these releases have huge memories attached to them which just increases my love for them
A lot of classics in here
I’ve been on the fence about seeing this. The original is one of my favorite movies ever. I love classic horror and typically don’t care for remakes but I’m curious about this movie. And Shadow of a Vampire is one of my favorites so it’s cool Willam is in this movie. Great review I’ll go see it.
@wrestletati Thanks for swinging by Tati. Yeah i highly recommend it. It made my Top 10 Horror of the year. It is dripping with Gothic atmosphere throughout. Definitely worth a theater trip
Lovely collection
Thank you 😊
I can guarantee you’re going to need more shelves by the end of the year bro 😂😂
@DidYouZThat Haha definitely will have to scoop up these awesome standing rotating shelves i saw too. You can fit i think 1000 movies on em. Three sides.
Bro, sick collection part 1 video! Not just horror but a wide range of kids movies including ya boy Bruce Lee. BUT… I noticed one big title missing from your collection… Where was Back to the Future? 😂😂
Right!! I do need to scoop up and awesome set of those three films. Fun fact as a child for a while I used to fancy BTTF 3 is my favorite for a time.
@ Wow! That’s awesome 🙂 It’s a great sequel
That’s quite the collection. Some of those titles look rough to me but I’m glad to see movies like West Side Story and Transformers One on the shelf.
Carrie steelbook is very nice. Recently watched crimson peak 4k from arrow very good. Evil deeds 🔥 Drag me to hell 🔥 Halloween 🎃 Lots of solid horror titles for sure.
Sex drive I was like yeah when I saw that love that movie. TCM one of the best ever. Tom of horror favorites. The turning made me mad after that ending 😂walk hard the wrong kid died
Yeah sex drive every time I return too it. I laugh just like I did the first time. 😂
Also, I noticed in your videos that you still have Drag Me To Hell and Motel Hell on dvd. I recently upgraded my Scream Factory collector’s editions of them to the new 4K steelbooks and I’d love to send you my blu rays if you’re interested! ❤️
Really that is so nice. I greatly appreciate that!! You really don't have to do that. You can find me on my Facebook or Bluesky if you needed my address. But also did you want me to pay you for them??
@@norinradd8969 I would be sending them to you for free! How do I find you on Facebook? :)
@ I would be sending them to you for free! How do I find you on Facebook? :)
@alydematti On Facebook my profile id Robert Mayer. In my profile picture I have Art glasses on 😁
The Phantom Of The Opera, Practical Magic, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show are 3 of my favorites! You have great taste. 👏🏻
Practical Magic is so good. It's one of those films if I catch it on television too I have to pause whatever I'm doing to enjoy it.
It’s my boy Norin great collection Especially the box sets like Bruce Lee. I like how you have SpongeBob next to Rob Zombie.
Thanks my brother. Yeah we kung fu nuts with our Bruce Lee collections. Have you seen the Shawscope sets? Those are Shaw brothers martial arts film sets
@ no but I’m intrigued
Awesome collection, my friend! I love seeing so many dvds. ❤️
Yeah a lot of those DVD's have been in my collection for many years now. I always appreciate your support 👍
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for swinging by 👍
You definitely enjoyed it more than me. I disagree about asterisks and tech stuff. I felt the pace here. It was ok for me. I like eggers other films more
@RavensOsFan89 I ate up the Gothic atmosphere and the sound design and score had me totally sucked into the film.
I loved it as well. It definitely had even more creepy parts. I agree about Naomie for sure.
@RavensOsFan89 It is really cool though that Demi won the Golden Globe. But I think for Naomi was the best female performance all year
Shame it didn’t hit fully for you throughout most of the run time. I had a good time with it. The bike scene was creepy.
The best part was listening to the seniors reactions after the movie. Fun movie and I loved it
Wasn’t a fan of in a violent nature, didn’t see vhs. Mr Crockett was descent one time watch though. Nosferatu was ok for me. Everything else mentioned I liked. Side note didn’t see alien Romulus
Night swim has potential but, just didn’t hit the mark. Just meh for me. Afraid is a dumpster fire Destroy all neighbors didn’t work for me either. The Strangers was the most disappointing on this list. The Watchers real forgettable for me I saw the tv blow no thank you sir Longlegs was the only one I liked off this list.
I heard Alien was Trash lol but everyone has different tastes haha! Just Happy that Terrifier 3 was top 5 🫢
@@efrenmoreno3 Terrifier 3 was dope. Alien Romulus i fill is easy the best since Aliens. Definitely worth the watch
@ Imma watch it haha
Ok this is like the fifth top horror list I saw and have people just went absolutely mental? Alien romulus, The substance and Smile 2 was one of the worst movies I ve seen all year. Horribly written and acted characters, espec Smile 2, it was a mockery of the first one.
@gellertn I would say everyone has their own opinion. I personally know a couple people who didn't jive with Alien Romulus. But imo it hit evey note for me. And in terms of acting idk. I have seen some awful acting in movies but not these ones
I still feel like I walked into Longlegs and they put a different movie on, it was so unlike what people were saying it was 🤣
I heard it described as a silence of the labs kind of movie, and it absolutely was
I cannot get into horror movies that dont have characters I like
@sammyjenkis5260 For me it depends on the story. Sometimes a group of horrible humans is ok to have if they get dispatched in cool ways or have compelling arcs. But I totally understand youe feelings
Longlegs was SUCH a disappointment
Long legs was dope af. Not what I'd call a scary movie, but it was dope none the less
It very well was. The trailer was SO much better lol
@giad2329 My wife really enjoyed it I have seen many people praise Longlegs and Cages performance. For me I might give it a 2nd watch
The Watchers, Tarot, Night Swim all sucked ass! Longlegs was a decent watch, but nothing mind blowing like people wanna make it out to be. The Strangers: Chapter 1 definitely disappointed me, but I’m still looking forward to the next two installments, because I’m such a big fan of the director Renny Harlin! By the way, if you have not seen a film of his called Mindhunters (2004), then please give it a watch! So good! Happy New Year!!!!!!!
What's kind of funny is Tarot. I didn't hate it lol. Kind of reminded me of that early 00's horror like Ghostship or Thirteen ghosts. But I understand why it didn't hit for some
I haven’t seen any of these movies. I know I’ve seen Longlegs and I saw the TV Glow on top 10 lists. Nightswim looks pretty silly and I know people really didn’t like Strangers and Imaginary.
The only movies on this list that I saw were The Strangers: Chapter 1 and Longlegs and I really enjoyed both! ❤
@alydematti Thanks for swinging by Aly. I'm so glad you enjoyed Longlegs my wife wants me to watch it again. Strangers Chapter 1 I hope they impress me more with Chapter 2
@@norinradd8969 I'm interested to see where the story goes in Chapter 2! Happy New Year, by the way. 🥳
@alydematti HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳🍾
Can’t exactly disagree on any of these bro! I haven’t seen I Saw the Tv Glow but I didn’t hear good things 😂
I saw the TV glow i view more similar to Donnie Darko not really horror. More drama thriller imo
Fantastic list really these films sound very good
Awesome top 10 list brotha! I haven’t seen Nosferatu (doesn’t come out until tomorrow in the uk) and I missed out on Oddity. However I loved The Substance, Terrifier 3 was a blast and you definitely enjoyed Romulus more than me 😂
Definitely can't wait to hear your thoughts on Nosferatu. Oddity is really well done
No surprise I didn’t see any of these movies Norin. Is there one here you think I could stomach?
@jasontheoldmillennial7197 I would say Oddity, Abigail and MaXXXine you can totally handle. MaXXXine is more of a detective thriller style. Oddity is more leaning on the creepy atmosphere not gore. Then Abigail is just a ton of fun and hilarious characters
Apparently "Absolutely" was the word of the day, lol. Hope you all enjoyed 2024. Some standouts in Horror this year.
TOP 10 HORROR MOVIES OF 2024: 1. Nosferatu 2. Abigail 3. Late Night With The Devil 4. Oddity 5. Heretic 6. A Quiet Place: Day One 7. Alien: Romulus 8. It's What's Inside 9. Your Monster 10. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Awesome list. Some really great choices on there
“Pump it up” with Sue 😝 😂 😆
Can’t wait to show my kids… father of the year my friend! I hope it doesn’t scar them 😂 But hell yeah bro, I’m glad you finally got to this one!!
@DidYouZThat Oh yeah it was long awaited and it didn't disappoint at all. This top 10 of the year list is gonna be wild!!
