Hey everyone, welcome to my channel, Live Your Nutritious Life. I have created this channel to describe the importance of healthy and nutritious diet for our health. Good nutrition and exercise help maintain a healthy weight. However the benefits of good nutrition go beyond the weight. Good nutrition can actually reduce the risk of some diseases including heart disease, diabetes, stroke, some cancers and osteoporosis. A healthy nutritious diet consists of fresh fruits and vegetables, lean protein and whole grains along with omega 3 fatty acids and healthy fats. In this channel I will cover the health benefits of different foods and the best way to consume these foods.
Autumn Salad Recipe: Apple, Banana, Pomegranate & Sweet Potato Delight!
Apple, Bananas, Pomegranate, and Sweet Potatoes Salad with Orange Juice Dressing:
Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 large apple, cored and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds (fresh or dried)
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Place the sweet potato cubes on a baking sheet, toss with a little bit of oil, and roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until tender and lightly caramelized.
3. In a large bowl, combine the roasted sweet potatoes, diced app...

Hello and thanks for your message! As you point out, not everyone benefits equally from converting beta-carotene, a substance found in carrots, into vitamin A. As you know, carrots and other orange and yellow vegetables contain a unique component called beta-carotene, which our bodies can convert into vitamin A, though some people have trouble doing so. About 40% of people may fit this description, particularly women living in colder climates. But even if your body doesn't turn all the carrots carotenoids into vitamin A, it's still good for you! This is the reason why: Consuming a rainbow of fruits and vegetables is beneficial, even if the conversion isn't perfect. Carrot stuff also has other benefits. They have fibre, minerals, and antioxidants that protect your cells, and carrots may also be hydrating for your body. Meat, dairy, and eggs are examples of animal products that contain vitamin A and may be a good choice for certain individuals. The best approach is to eat both plant-based and animal sources of vitamin A for a healthy balance! I’m so sorry to tell you this but spinach when it’s in its raw form is not actually very healthy for you. It leeches away calcium. It’s better to eat spinach cut if you wanna add something that’s healthy to your smoothie. Parsley is actually a better choice.
Thanks for sharing your concern! You're right that raw spinach contains oxalates, which can inhibit calcium absorption. However, the impact of this is still being researched and debated. Some studies suggest that the benefits of raw spinach outweigh the potential risks and that oxalates don't significantly affect calcium absorption in most people. That being said, parsley is a great alternative! It's rich in vitamins and antioxidants and adds a fresh flavour to smoothies. Thanks for the suggestion! If you're concerned about oxalates, you can also try cooking spinach or using smaller amounts in your smoothies.

Different people pronounce in different ways. Like for simulation some speak sy-mula-tion while some sim-ul-ation. Similar is the case for the word synergy. I think the correct should be sy-ner-gy.

Looks great! Going to try this with some plant-based dips as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the estrogen and possible BLV in dairy and choline and lead in eggs. Thanks for sharing

Vegan diet is NOT healthy!
Everyone has personal preferences and food choices. Food that suits one may not be good for others. Vegan has shown many good results for obesity and other health conditions. In fact a plant based diet can do good for people who are concerned for their health or is mainly recommended by their health care professionals. But some people may be reluctant to go strictly vegan. In fact a balanced diet is good for health. Meat, fish, poultry and dairy are important part of diet. so people may feel difficult when they choose veganism.
